took BRPD 2 hours to respond to an attempted break in at my place a few months ago and I live downtown They had the balls to tell me to lock myself in my bedroom and call them if they come back

They did the same thing to a girl I know. A single woman living alone. She sat in the hallway with a pistol watching the front door.

Focus on creating good parenting and strength of the family nucleus in future generations, redesign of the one-sized-fits all education system that continues to limit U.S. upside potential, and re-think tax structure...encourage job opportunities.

Work on generation after next. It is too late for this one and the one that follows it.

This happened on a stretch of Government street that has seen incredible investment and major efforts toward making the city better

The mayor and the chief will not respond. It’s time for the people who support this administration and do business with the city parish to speak up and demand action. Some of the same people attending mass at mercy, probably even this morning, are her biggest supporters.

Wrong. That’s what I’m saying. It’s NOT like it’s been forever. It’s increasing substantially. Whereas there was crime, now there is MORE crime. Rather than just yap your pie hole with a narrative, comprehend what you are reading. Crime IS spreading in frequency and geographical terms.

There’s a Super 8 on Government?

Reulet Ave is off of Sherwood is where that Super 8 is located. Across the street from the Waffle House, the area is crack head central. It’s not surprising someone was shot in the area.

Is it impossible for anyone to interview her and the chief about the massive spike in shootings?

Is that bad and wrong to do?

They have never had to answer any questions about it

Let’s go Sharon!!!

No none should be surprised anymore. When you only create policies and programs on how it makes people feel instead of their actual effectiveness the results are predictable.

In whose world do you spend massive amounts of money in an area BEFORE addressing the crime problem. Only a government entity would try to do something so stupid because they are not paying for it.

Find a pile of dog crap and place a pretty red bow on it.

What a fricking joke, you’ve got to be kidding me? There’s a damn substation on Highland Rd located in the Bottom, let alone the substation located right in DT BR, off of 3rd St

What’s also stupid about the 911 system in BR is how you call, explain you reason for calling into 911 then get directed to either city police or the EBRSO after the fact. An incredible waste of time where time is of the essence if you witness or are a victim of violent crime.

There’s no real journalism in EBR. They look the other way. They don’t want any “issues”.

Crime, flooding, homelessness, the bus system, trash and cleanup are not being addressed as they should be. The mayor is concentrating on playing Sim City in NBR and is hell bent on thwarting St. George. The paper, and the TV stations are all on her side.
