Why are our cities being torn apart over one? Is one more important?

there should be zero deaths of unarmed person
Unarmed people can resist and go for an officers gun. Which can end badly for cop ie Nicola Cotton in N.O. about ten years ago.
Also, they define "unarmed" as being not in possession at the moment. So a guy who led a chase got shot with gun in car but not on him was "unarmed".
All this still results in there being 9 deaths of "unarmed" blacks by cops in 2019 per the Washington Post database most people cite.

Police brutality is not a problem
Police brutality is ABSOLUTELY a problem. It is not solely a black problem however, though unarmed black people are killed disproportionately based on demographic percentages. Police are quick to their trigger and have little to no deescalation skills, and worse of all are empowered to act that way by their unions and lack of oversight and repercussions for their actions.

Police brutality does not only pertain to killing people

this is your opinion. It is hypocritical to be comply or die and pro-2nd Amendment. Can't wait for you to willingly hand over your guns when the next Democratic president demands it, after all have to conduct yourself in a respectful manner and owning your gun will be "illegal shite."

Cops suck. Every encounter be it on the road or somewhere else that I've had with one they come in scared like a bitch that I am some psycho waiting for an excuse to kill them. I am a normal person but they make me frickin nervous and uncomfortable for no reason with their fear and threatening demeanor. We need better cops. A citizens choice should not be comply or die.

This couldn't be made any more clear than when you see/hear this interaction:
Person A: "Black Lives Matter"
Person B: "All Lives Matter"
Person A: "You're racist"

Abortion & Planned Parenthood has been easily one of the biggest killers of AA in this country.
But it's off limits to discuss PP's original intent.

Just like black people commit a disproportionate amount of the violent crime based on demographic percentages.

The problems are numerous, but these fricking cops have been out of control for a long, long time—well before George Floyd died. The US government has been pumping Barnie Fife full of military surplus, and every time civil unrest breaks out, they’re quick to play war.
Plenty of great cops out there. But the police clearly have a lot of shite to clean up.

I mean, any instance of police brutality is a problem. The media only making a big deal out of when it happens to black people is also a problem.
These riots are also a big problem. Probably a bigger problem than police brutality. As it definitely affects more innocent people than police brutality.
But in any case, any police brutality is a problem. But it's not a systematic problem. It's lone instances with shitty cops.

So if I’m high on meth and roided out like Dave Bautista and charging you full speed screaming I’m going to kill you covered in blood from beating someone almost to death, what do you suggest?

It was always a race thing for them. I'd even say it's really just a political thing for them. Otherwise we would see riots after white people were killed by cops too, and more often because more whites are killed by police than blacks. Why don't we see protests after white people are killed?

Correct the media makes it sound like the cops are out actively hunting individuals. Cops are people that do a very dangerous highly stressful job for modest pay. shite happens and it sucks george got killed. If this was a daily or even weekly occurrence then maybe I would have some sympathy for the protestors cause. Also George was far from a model citizen.

This guy simply asked if he refused the breathalizer, if he would be arrested. And the cop lost his shite because his "authority was being questioned". Is that the kind of "reason" you're talking about?
quote:
The body cam video shows that Batson removed Miller from his vehicle and asked him to take a Breathalizer test. Miller initially agreed before he started asking questions about the test, like whether he would be arrested if he declined to take it.
Batson said he had already seen a beer bottle in Miller's car -- Miller admitted having two or three drinks but said he had passed a Breathalyzer test located in his vehicle before he started driving -- and attempted to arrest him when Miller wavered on taking the test, according to the video.
"No look, I'll do your test," Miller said, right before the officer took him to the ground. "I'll do your test!"

tell that to the 120 pound female cop when the 250 pound perp has her on the ground choking her out, or pounding the side of her face in. according the unbiased study in the thread so named, a surprisingly high percentage of murders were caused by unarmed killers.
There are no blanket statements that can resolve these issues

Police brutality is a problem
It's not the existentialist problem it's made out to be (for any race or group).
