I know it's unfortunately not at all uncommon.

Phones now are as addictive as recreational drugs. You shave called her out.

Praise be to Jesus that she was there.

I know several people who have their prayer lists on their phones because they worry about forgetting someone or something they have been called to pray about.

I'm more concerned about those that do not go to church than those that show up in whatever state they may be in.

I use the Blue Letter Bible App in church. It's great for notes, scripture highlighting and verse cross-referencing.

As for the girl...at least she is in church...that is a start. Church isn't for the perfect, it is for redemption of the broken. Let him with out sin, cast the first phone.

Church isn't the most exciting place to be. While rude, I understand it.

Damn right I will. Nah she was doing social media not bible verses. Her mother drug her back from Fl as she is on time for baby #2. Baby #2 will eventually be raised by her mother like baby #1.

If you know her that well, you should have told her to put her phone away like a man instead of posting on the OT

Or even better than that...how about talking to God about it, rather than talking to us? This girl is His creation, and her redemption could be a big opportunity to glorify God and show others that they have hope through Christ.

Out of line on this?

quote:

Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Way to many people act like Church is like going to the mall or a movie theater. Shows how trashy people are who thinking it's no big deal.

Matthew 7:1 - 5 was written specifically for assholes like you.

It’s crazy that people with tattoos go to church. The Bible literally says that it’s easier for a camel to go to heaven than somebody with tattoos

They only have marlboro's in heaven.

And then there's the passage "tis easier for a tattooed camel to pass through the hole in a keystone light pull tab than for a chick with onlyfans to see the gates of heaven."

I use my Bible app to follow along in my Sunday School class and the sermon.

Our church music service is more rock n roll. Christian lyrics but intense sound.

Watch our church in on youtube and the stereo mix has ppl on left on the left channel and so on.

Sermon was on the longest book in the bible, I’m sure you & Tattoo girl missed it.

A group of us read the entire book of Psalms out loud yesterday, and it took 5 hours. I might pull out my phone and look something up, if the preacher shares something interesting. Otherwise, I might forget later. I do not play on my phone during church, though. The worst instance: I was playing drums at a medium-sized church a few years ago, and our bass player took a phone call in the middle of the worship set. That was a bad look, but that guy had just gotten out of prison (spent 20+ years) like a few months prior.
