God doesn't care, which is all that matters.

And I'm not!

You're obviously right. There's no point in going if you're just going to play on your phone.

You shouldn't even have your phone in church. At the very least, leave it in the ministers' room.

I can’t imagine sitting through one of these godawful Catholic services without a phone.
Thankfully the Catholic church I usually attend doesn’t allow any screens during Mass

I have a friend that follows the mass on her phone, the readings etc
I just leave it at home or car

I use imissal for the readings, laudate for following prayers and a rosary app. Id rsther do that than subscribe to printed material that is environmentally unfriendly.
Granted I don’t notice anyone else doing it.

What bothers me is someones phone ringing during mass when the first thing you are told is to silence your phone

My phone stays in my truck when I go to the gym. 90% of the bros are looking at their safe space device. Such pussies.

God brought me from a place of darkness. He loves me too much to not give him my full attention for a few minutes in church.

A rule that won’t be enforced is not a rule at all. Nobody is getting put out of a Catholic Church for that. The most that will happen is politely asking someone to put the phone away. I want to see a priest go up to an attendee and order them to leave in the middle of mass, lol. That would be something. I see so much disrespectful stuff in Mass all the time. Tight women’s t-shirts with “delicious” on it for example.

Comprehend passages out the Bible? I'm pretty sure I can read it on my own instead of listening to someone else do it along with stand, kneel, stand, kneel, sit. Rinse and repeat. I don't miss that BS. I go to non denomination when I do go. At least it's not boring.

No you aren't.

Way to many people act like Church is like going to the mall or a movie theater. Shows how trashy people are who thinking it's no big deal.

One day I got asked to move over for a lady with her baby, in the car seat. The broad spent the whole time taking pictures of the baby and posting on insta. It was annoying as she would not stop shifting around to get a good angle.

Id go more often if my church would force people to respect the house of God. I stopped "letting it bother me" by going less often.
