You got downvoted because you confidently ruled out any mechanical failure based on no evidence whatsoever.

I had all the evidence anyone with a working brain would need. I didn’t rule out a mechanical failure. I only stated the cause of the failure.

Hurricane hunters are usually flying at much lower altitudes.

I don’t know about that but around the 45 second mark you can hear the pilot in the background saying “hallowed be thy name”

Any theories on why someone would utter that sentence?

He may have been focused on his instruments. He also may have already known they had no chance.

Man hearing the other pilot reciting the Lord’s Prayer in the background is bone chilling. RIP

I don't think I am going to listen to that audio. Much like the Charlie Kirk Video I rather not enter that into my memory.

why flying into an intense storm cell causes catastrophic failure here, but hurricane hunters can fly through the eye wall of a cat 5 hurricane and be fine

Hurricane hunters are reinforced and are more resistant to structural damage from turbulence. They also fly around the worst thunderstorm cells in the Hurricane. They have better equipment to help them detect and avoid conditions that could cause them to crash. Hurricane hunter pilots train to fly through Hurricanes.

This has to be the dumbest justification for her flying at her age that I’ve seen going around social media.

I’ve had a 60 year old Capt texting his wife middle of a true ILS in the soup that I was pilot flying as FO and when I noticed made the comment am I flying this jet single pilot right now… and then ripped him some more once parked at the FBO like wtf was that important it couldn’t wait 5 minutes… now all the armchair pilots mid ILS vs at a cruise altitude of 35000 ft to fire off a text are vastly different things

Correct. The one working the radio is also supposed to monitor radar conditions and avoid catastrophic storm cells. It’s kind of an important role.

Yep. And because it was reported that she texted her bf 10 minutes before the plane went down, that's evidence enough to show she ignored all those duties, you know, because women are on their phones a lot.

Also, I havent listened to the audio, but I've read that someone says "look out the window." Is that true? Any theories on why someone would utter that sentence?

The copilot was severely panicking (obvious reason being they were plummeting to the earth in a likely irrecoverable dive) and trying to get the pilot to properly reorient the plane in anyway possible. She could have been trying to get him to orient himself using the horizon assuming at the point they were out of the clouds.

There’s YouTube channels that have a collection of cockpit recordings and black box recordings as the planes go down.

Many more than you’d want to know existed. They are all sad.

Agree with all this! The most shocking thing of the audio was the relative calm after the big scream clearly telling ATC the status of the plane. And then the final call where it’s holy shite this is really it.

Why is there such a defensive tone when it comes to the co pilot? Interesting.

A married couple and two toddlers were among the nine killed in the Learjet 60 plane crash. Fathers of both the husband and wife confirmed their identities Monday in brief interviews with The Palm Beach Post.

The Post is not disclosing the names, as authorities have not yet notified the families of their deaths.

“It’s quite a blow," said one father, a 70-year-old in Texas. “We had a daughter, her husband and two grandchildren on the plane.”

Social-media accounts for both husband and wife suggest the two were entrepreneurs. One was a potter and the owner of a public relations company. The other was a software founder who posted to his LinkedIn shortly before the crash.

My wife received word that it was one of her HS classmates on the plane. She went to HS in central Houston (not going to name the HS yet). You are correct, it was a husband/wife (both 40 years old), their two kids, their nanny, their dog, and another couple (unknown to us right now).

For those on here dying to know the names of the people thinking it may be someone famous... it was not, at least in that sense.
