not to mention her frantic tone about two minutes into the recording.

Aviation accidents that kill parents and children cause me severe dread and anxiety. Watching my children die in a plane crash is one of my bleakest fears. Plummeting to the ground, everyone screaming, terror written onto their young faces, knowing they will die, knowing there is nothing I can do to prevent it, realizing I chose to put them on the doomed flight. I fly all the time for work and pleasure. I fly with the kids for vacations. I understand how safe it is statistically and how improbable this nightmare scenario is. Driving is much more dangerous. But the fact that any actual human being has ever had to endure this horror, the fact that the horror has ever been real and ever befallen some innocent family, seems inherently evil and wrong to me. The world can be a horribly cruel place. I hope they find solace in the afterlife.

IDK if anyone has posted this but the person working the radio is not the one who is flying the plane. Correct. The one working the radio is also supposed to monitor radar conditions and avoid catastrophic storm cells. It’s kind of an important role.
She was also requesting an alternative route prior to announcing their ascension. ATC was kinda dismissive sounding to me. So maybe they got directed into the cell. Let’s wait for the facts to come out before jumping to conclussions.

It's absolutely frightening to think about, agreed. Have been trying to get it out of my head all day.
And this thread is definitely not helping, but I am curious and value the occasional knowledgable aviators here despite the fricking morons going on about how her sending a text to her boyfriend doomed the flight.

Why is there such a defensive tone when it comes to the co pilot? Interesting.
Because 2 incels without a modicum of personal success have spent 40 pages blaming her while she wasn't even in command.

Agreed.
And she was texting her boyfriend so she wasn’t flying guys.

We need to see how they got to where they got.
If she was navigating (pilots weigh in) I don’t know how it plays into the crash. I saw something earlier in this thread that showed they should’ve went south where they had adequate room to avoid the storm.

you're about 36 pages late with that suggestion.

Well, then, you need a mistress. Or you need God.
You're clearly lacking something important to your soul.
