That ATC comms video is chilling.

Who knows what went wrong yet or if it was correctable, but she was panicking significantly which likely didn't help matters.

What's crazy is the FAA and NSTB will go to this site and investigate this hole in the street and release a report in a year or so with their findings.

"We believe this was a improperly torqued landing leg bolt in side the left wheel pant that dislodged and struck a control surface at cruise altitude."

It was obviously mechanical failure.

Not even Sully was saving that plane.

That happened so quick. She was so calm and normal. Then a second later a nightmare...

RIP. It is sad.

I would imagine the fword has been used many times in peoples untimely demise. Rip to those on the plane and hopefully no one on the ground.

Sounds like control surface runaway.

Yeah, or failure. In a vertical nose down attitude over 30,000ft and not able to recover

Could be the car in the background here.

Sounded like everything was fine and then the plane suddenly fell out of the sky. I am waiting for someone who knows planes to chime in. This just seems random.

I considered the new anti-aircraft systems around Mar-a-Lago. But probably not.

Can someone who knows planes explain what this means?

She was obviously distressed by the situation before things went bad. Talking about the ice and precipitation and asking to climb to a higher altitude. You can hear the worry in her voice.

Looks like a lot of precip in the South Florida area at the time. Wonder if icing played a part.

How Far do you think they will have to go to get to what is left of the plane? Looks like it filled with water right after impact.

Something failed mechanically that controls the elevators or vertical trim. Hence the nosedive

She mentioned moderate icing in the video. Is it possible that caused the mechanical failure with those systems?

Private plane and lots of big names in Austin this weekend. Private plane to the Bahamas so a chance we recognize a name or two

PLane registered to a deleware LLC and the address on file is a mail forwarding company. Definitely trying to keep their plane identity private.
