Because I want trained, paid pilots with 7 passengers on board to navigate fricking severe thunderstorms without being on their phones means I'm not cool under pressure?
Y'all wild
So the answer is "no". Got it.
Are you that dense that you cannot legitimately think that 10 minutes prior that shite had yet to hit the fan, so she quickly texted the situation to her boyfriend?
The shite went south quick by all accounts, so it's not like she was texting during the suck.

My sauce just told me there was a dog on board, too.
If this is the kind of breaking information your “sauce” is feeding you, they’re probably not a reliable source to begin with.

You're cool with a pilot in charge of 7 people's lives firing off text(s) moments before the aircraft she helping fly, navigates directly into a supercell.
That's just a wild thing to be ok with.
She should have been actively monitoring the weather radar that moments later got them killed.

If you think that text caused any issues, then you are insane.

A little bit a sarcasm/humor there

How many texts was it? Should she have been actively monitoring the radar?
To think that her being distracted couldn't have any bearing on the ultimate outcome is insane.

When is everyone going start jumping that guy's shite, I wonder...
Has it been determined who was actually in the left seat? Cause that is traditionally the PIC. I'm all for assigning blame, but we need to know who was actually in command to do so.

You and I have a different idea of the meaning of moments.
Every WX viewpoint I’ve looked at has the cell at 12:47 appearing very mild and below their cruising altitude.

It's crazy to me of all the places for her to crash in the world and the places she's flown, she crashed in her hometown/county

you can understand how it's near impossible to tell now, right?

It was one, apparently.

Good Lord...you are unhinged here.

More than likely the boyfriend was tracking the flight since he’s a pilot as well.
Damn. That must have been horrible watching the altitude the final minute.

The copilot, Jack, was her boyfriend.
Jack probably just wanted her to monitor weather and navigate. Rip.

If tweet fails to load, click here. I know I’ll probably have to answer for it at the pearly gates, but I got a little chuckle from this.

Mach tuck. It is common in Learjet 60’s and older Learjets. Essentially, you exceed the maximum airspeed at altitude and it is unrecoverable to the point that you continue to speed up while not being able to produce lift with your wings.
I would be interested to see a Sully level pilot in the simulator work the reported flight characteristics and see how he does.

I think by most accounts she was the co-pilot and the guy was the PIC.
