That's true. Ive rescued one and it turned out to be a good dog, but I won't have another. Got along with people good, but it just wasn't worth the risk, so I would always just put him up when I had visitors. My Great Dane on the other hand, I don't have to worry about other than being big and goofy.

Louisiana trash? You think this is a Louisiana problem? You Pit Bull lovers are some of the most blatantly biased and ignorant people, when it comes to dogs and reality.
Pit bull breeds account for nearly 70% of all fatal dog attacks in this country. Rottweilers are second, at only 10%. If you folks would use your heads, you would figure out that if it's just a "stupid dog owners" problem, then these numbers wouldn't be so drastically one sided. We'd see lower numbers for Pits, and higher numbers for Rottweilers, or other angry dog breeds out there. The reason so many people get attacked by Pits is clearly far more because of their natural inclinations, otherwise people would be getting attacked by all sorts of dogs from being "too dumb to handle them".
The lady comedian's joke was right. You can run into some that might not bite your face off, just like not every Muslim wants to kill you. But the numbers don't lie about who/what is more likely to attack you.
