When we're not in the fields or threshing grain we like to play games with the kids. Tag, kick the can, jacks and the like. We have an old Monopoly game but sadly some of the money and all of the pieces are missing. But we get by with using oak leaves for money. Grandpa was in the process of whittling some new pieces but had a heart attack while he was working on the top hat. I've fashioned some suitable ones out of cow dung that we make do with. I also have a 3 ft length of rope I let the young'uns practice knot tying with. They enjoy that. The kids are usually plumb tuckered out come nightfall. Which is good for me and missus if you catch my drift, wink wink. There's lots of good times to be had out in the country. Plus I hitch up the team and go into town for dry goods twiced a year. May even let the young'uns go catch a picture show next year. It aint for everbody. But it's all we need.

You're moving out by north Platte or ogalalla? I've been all over Nebraska and Iowa. Miss the country up there and the hunting. Can't find that kind of country in South Louisiana, but I'm with you...never will live in the city.

Chicago is an amazing city. Honestly the only thing stopping me from wanting to live there is the winter. Boston winter is bad, but Chicago's is just brutal.
