Saying “finna” instead of fixing to
When captioning a photo — any sentence that ends in the world “like”… example, a selfie of you making a really depressed face sitting in traffic, caption says “Mondays got me like” or… “grinding through the day like” — frick that
“Racial harmony”
“Throw shade”
Also when captioning a photo, just saying “____ vibes”

The customer is always right. If you actually knew the whole thing you would know that it was a bust on the customer's poor choices

Starting a sentence with "I mean".
Reminds me of a guy back at NASA in the day - He was a really smart guy and always had the right stuff
- but he started every sentence off with "Like I said -------"
the "like I said' part was all pronounced as one word = "likised"

"...and it isn't even close"
Or anything similar. Tired of hearing it.

quote:
LETS frickING GOOOOO”
Or just “LET’S GO!!”
This triggers me almost as badly as “literally” but not quite. “Literally” sends me into a rage by the third usage in a 30 second time frame by the same person.

"no I'm being serious"
"listen- I'm not joking"
"I grew up a middle class kid..."
"we will not have the opportunity to ever cast a ballot again"
Oh, wait...I think these have already been shelved.

Replacing the word “problem” with “issues”. An “issue” is a monthly copy of a magazine.

Southerners saying “you guys” instead of “yall”.
I have to admit that I have done this since leaving Mississippi for the midwest…..and when I catch myself doing it, I am disappointed that I did not seize an opportunity to culturally enrich my midwestern brethren. Thanks for the reminder. I will work on it…..

"Fur baby"
I hear women calling their pets "fur babies" all the time, but I call my kids "skin puppies" just once...and I'm the weirdo.
