He said they have a history of latching on to some eccentric hobby. Not some eccentric knobby.

It will be easy. The Texas Revolution, like the Civil War can be distilled down to slavery if you choose to do it. Unfortunately, Texas (and the defenders of the Alamo) can be characterized as fighting to preserve slavery.

ehhhhh

not enough of Americans in Texas owned slaves and the Texians didn't own any. Santa Ana was a tyrant and the treatment of Austin who had been a Mexican Federalist was enough for the Texan independence movement to recognize cooperation was not an option

Apparently when Phil made the opening song for Miami Vice he got Sonny Crockett and Davy Crockett confused.

What the heck were you searching to dig up a 6 1/2 year old article on Genesis' drummer giving some historical pieces to the Alamo?

A Potential Alternate Subjects for the Post could have been:

“Take a Look at these Now! Collins’ artifacts on display.”

Phil Collins seems like an unlikely ambassador for the Alamo.

Nobody better take any of Phil’s stuff from the Alamo because there’s not anywhere he can’t find you.

He needs to negotiate with the Mexican gov't to get this old baw back to the states.

ETA for context: The Flag of the Louisiana Greys, a volunteer regiment out of New Orleans, is the only known flag kept as a trophy by the Mexican Soldiers who took the Alamo. It is still kept by the Mexican gov't and has been displayed in various national museums. Texan efforts to retrieve it have been ignored.

(I don't blame Mexico for wanting to keep their war trophy. Would just be cool to get it back here, esp with the Louisiana connection)

I'm curious how long it'll be until the woke crowd calls the Alamo a relic of white supremacy.
