Try to eat as much bread and drink as much whiskey as possible before going into the water on the back of the ship. Supposedly that’s how a chef survived after going in as one of the last people that went down with it hanging on the back. The bread and whiskey kept him warm enough to survive in the water before the small rescue boat came back.

Was just thinking about that movie today. How come “new” Marty parents at the end when they’re talking about Bif being the reason they fell in love don’t tell their kids about 50s Marty showing up in their lives, offering sage advice, giving George confidence, playing wild guitar at the dance, etc and then disappearing after a week. You’d think he would have made an impact enough to tell their kids with even having one of them that “resembles” this strange young man, right?

I was on road yesterday and had to listen to the game but Weeks name kept coming all game from the announcers.

It’s because the dew point has been in the high 70s the last few weeks. I can’t recall ever seeing it this high for so long. Usually when the humidity is high the dew point sticks around low 70s during the summer, esp in the mornings which is why we get that “sticky” feeling. Humidity has actually pretty mild for SE Louisiana around 60% for this time of year, but bc it’s high dew point it is a dryer heat.
