The irrational hate some people have of cats is hilarious to me.

Because you can't understand why people don't want your pet on their property doing whatever it wants. Or you do understand and don't care.

no because of this

People gave you valid reasons on why they wouldn't want your cat on their property and you very clearly state that you don't care.

I put a bell on my Junie's collar so birds will be alerted of her presence.

This is what I plan to do when we move. I really don't like my cats in our house. The people that say cats are easy and clean pets are liars.

We will be moving to 30 acres surrounded by national forest, so I'm not worried about them bothering other people, but I also don't want them killing birds.

The bell trick seems to help some. Also feeding them a high protein diet helps.

I also think since they have been pampered house cats for their first 4 years of life that they will be too fat and lazy to really be killers

What are those valid reasons again? They kill birds?
They dig in your flower bed, just like many other animals do?
They leave a dusty paw print on your car? Maybe they should just take a shite on your car like birds do.

I have had this cat for a year now. Haven’t had one for the last 30 years. Plenty of other people’s cats have come on my property during that time and I have had zero problems with them. But I’m not a cat hating retard.

Who are you to say what is and isn't a valid reason for them to be on someone's property?

Cool. Other people may disagree. And that is their right for their property.

I’d wager the feral cat population is a bigger problem than house cats for the bird population.

Not feeling sorry for the birds. They have wings! I know the cat is a fearsome hunter, but, they have wings! They can fly. If they get caught by the cat, its their fault for being lazy and not being on high alert.

Right

I could give my two fatsos weaponry and they still wouldn’t have a chance of getting near a bird

if your housecat is outside it’s not going to behave much differently than a feral cat. The prey drive is the same. My terrier mix is well fed and likes the AC, when she goes outside (dog door) she immediately starts looking for something to kill. It is instinct not hunger

Let's not quibble about the classification or cause.

They aren't wrong. Domestic cats murder the shite out of birds every year.

the only thing is would that really be considered "unnatural"?

I mean one is a predator. the other is a prey.

that's sorta how nature works.

An invasive species that gets fed daily. PETA should advocate the murder of cats. It’d save a lot of birds and other critters.

They most certainly do pissing and shitting in my herb garden in my back yard.

But I've learned that a paint ball gun and leaving my dogs loose more often seems to make them realize my back yard ain't cool

I would love to hear the opinion of the posters on here regarding the “natural” appearance of the apple snail in LA rice and crawfish ponds and how that is “different”.
