Birds are annoying, they always seem to crap on my car whenever I get it clean. My cat never craps on my car.

The OTs love of birds here must show how this place is aging into a bunch of old fogey bird watches.

First time I have agreed with PETA.

Stray cats kill billions of birds in the US alone every year.

SO what will Peta say when millions of stray cats should be put down each year?

Why are you so defensive about letting your pet roam free outdoors? You can’t do it with a dog. Why is a cat different?

Cats aren’t a danger to humans and other dogs like some dogs are. Key word “some”.
Cats don’t take massive shits in other people’s yard.
Cats and dogs are much different.
More often than not you don’t even know a cat roamed in your yard at midnight so why do you care?

I’d love to live in a neighborhood where dogs were allowed to roam free. But we have too many shitty dog breeds with shitty dog owners for this to ever be a thing.

My cat roams the neighborhood. We track him so I see every where he goes. I’ve also explained to my wife and kids one day he won’t come home b/c he’s going to get killed by a coyote or dog or piece of shite person. I’ve accepted that. His existence in my household is to keep the rats and mice from eating my vegetables, which was a fight I was losing the last 2-3 years until we got our cat.

Some people just don’t like cats. It is what it is. They make up any stupid excuse to try to say why cats suck, like this:

quote:

House cats are not a natural existence in nature. They are an invasive species we introduced because people think they are cute.

The average house cat roaming the neighborhood has almost zero effect on your life or property.

I never want to be in a position again where I agree with PETA

But they also advocate for euthanizing stray/feral cats.

they set my cameras off constantly in the middle of the night/late night/early morning walking down my front porch or alongside my house. they come and sometimes spray when they smell the scent of other people's cats that are kept indoors.

So you think it's ok for your pet to come onto my property against my wishes and do what it wants? That is your stance.

Also cats absolutely do shite in the yard. Yours probably just shits in other people's yards.

And above me someone mentioned the cameras, that is super annoying.

And they walk on my car and leave tracks and scratch the paint.

And they've killed awesome birds in my backyard and left heads/corpses. shite they've left squirrel corpses/remnants I don't want to deal with either.

I don't hate cats. I have 2 cats currently sitting at my feet.

Outdoor cats are an invasive species and wreak havoc on native species. I'm for the eradication of invasive species.

They dig up and shite in people's gardens. They kill the birds that they may want to attract. They climb on people's cars.

my dogs make quick work of any outdoor cats that decide to come visit. Once a month at least. It’s natures way

I don’t give a shite about your property opinion you old fart.
You probably have the sticks with reflectors on the edge of your yard to keep people off your property.
Go yell at someone else b/c I don’t care.

There are 4 outdoor cats on the property adjacent to mine. I don't mind them at all, Ive seen them catch squirrels, snakes and mice. However, if they ever decide to crap in my yard, I'm going to have to rethink things.

Now do windmill farms.

Also opposed to these.

But since we have motor vehicles and windmills, we should just say frick it and let our house cats kill billions of birds and damage the ecosystem?

Sound logic.

My point was that, as far as I know, PETA has yet to complain about windmills killing millions of birds. They are selective in their outrage.

Cat people are really a irritating bunch of people.

99% of them have the notion that they're cat is a communal neighborhood cat. Free to roam where ever it wants and do whatever it wants.

PETA is unhinged and nonsensical 99.99% of the time. I agree with that.

They're right about domesticated and feral cats decimating wild and important birds though. I hate agreeing with them on anything

Feral cats are an invasive species and are responsible for many bird species going extinct

OP is the one who’s gone full retard

As a cat owner myself, I do agree that people should not let their pet cats roam the neighborhood. Yes they do kill birds but my reasoning is not because of the birds-Its letting your pet roam outside which could put their lives in danger from cars, other wild animals, dogs, etc.

And PETA can eff off BTW.

The irrational hate some people have of cats is hilarious to me.
