Everyone’s goal is not to be skinny when they walk into a gym,” said Summers, who charges $150 for a single session. “Most people just want to feel better. They want their bodies to feel healthy and strong.”

Sooooooo if you feel “healthy and strong” while you are actually unhealthy and fat, imagine how much better you’d feel if you were actually healthy and “strong” and probably smaller lol.

quote:

What I’ve learned and what I tell my clients is that you can’t change yourself if you hate yourself,” Taylor said. “The only way you’re going to see true change is by truly loving yourself.”

Ummmmmm lol. The most basic reason why people have motivation to change themselves is because they hate themselves lol

quote:

I’m a personal trainer. I just happen to exists in a plus size body,” she said. “My approach is very different than a typical personal trainer’s because my goal isn’t to whip people into losing weight, it’s about empowering women to feel comfortable in their own skin.”

Ok so you aren’t a personal trainer lol

There are so many weak people in this world that can’t handle the truth.

seeing fat women in yoga pants and tight shirts make my eyes hurts. Whats worse is seeing them "dancing" in a sexy way is flat out gross. Really cover your fatass gut hanging down your crotch is nasty. Cover up fatties!

Fat women trying to act sexy is fake as shite. They go home eat a shite ton of food and drinking cokes, and that is what makes them feel better.

I figure the better trainers are those actually in shape.

Like, I consider a good chef one who is fat

Weight loss requires a lifestyle change. If you're working out and not losing the weight you're not eating right. Diet is a huge factor. Cut out sugar and alcohol. Stop buying 1000 calorie drinks at Starbucks and tell yourself "its just a cup of coffee". No, that's fat people logic, it's half a dozen donuts in a 16 oz cup.

Also, putting on muscle does more for weight loss than cardio. Who wants to bet none of them try any weight training. No, they think they need to do all cardo. It helps with endurance but does nothing to increase your basal metabolic rate.

Well, they sound like a personal trainer, just not a personal fitness trainer.

That said, the best cycling coach I ever had was a significantly obese dude. He would probably have needed training wheels to ride a bike but he knew the science of training/nutrition and tactics of bicycle racing almost as well as a World Tour directeur sportif. Andy Reid also coached some of the best athletes in the world to a SB win with a play called "Corndog". Obviously, an overweight fitness trainer is a hurdle to overcome mentally but it also doesn't mean they aren't great at their job but admittedly they aren't very inspirational to look at. It is also similar to an ectomorph being a fitness trainer. He could be a 98 pound weakling and know 10 times the science of training and nutrition compared to the 8% BF gym rat training someone on the other side of the gym.

One of the nutritionist at the hospital is easily 350lbs. Can you imagine a 350lb black man taking the salt off your food tray and giving you shite about it... because he is one of those "sassy" "men".

“I have no idea what I weigh. I haven’t been on a scale in three years. It’s a toxic place,” Summers, now a certified trainer, told The Post. The 5-foot-6 powerhouse estimated that she’s somewhere in the 250-pound range. And that’s fine for both her and her clients
This is ridiculous. The scale is not toxic, the 100 pounds of fat are toxic.

Wonder if this in line with the costs for other trainers in her area or is she maximizing profits in knowing she can capitalize on fat people being more comfortable around other fat people

OP just sounds like a douche bag. If he can’t go and stare at his trainers cameltoe then what’s the point?

That’s not the issue. If you’re having to draw inspiration from how your PT looks, you’re probably not gonna make it.

The real issue is that PT lessons are expensive and it’s notoriously difficult to know in advance whether your PT is worth a shite or not for your goals. Your PT should look the part because that’s one of the few ways they can show proof of concept to you in advance. It’s no guarantee that they’ll give a shite about your results, but if they can’t give a shite about theirs then you’re really asking for issues. I’m glad you were able to find an awesome cycling coach, but you’d surely have to admit that someone else in your same position elsewhere would be better advised not looking for fat diamonds in the rough.

~~~
To the OP’s story—This woman charging $150 an hour is clearly just content hustling money out of people who want the feeling of doing something (and the associated social clout) without the rigorous empiricism needed to get tangible results. Considering that’s both the majority of the PT market and the easiest $$$ in it, I can’t say I blame her. People are sad.
Empowering women to feel proud and confident with their fat body is one of the worst movements I’ve lived through. If you’re fat, cover your body. No one wants to see that. That goes for men and women
Bill Burr has a great video on fat shaming & nails it across the board. Basically, you being fat is not my problem. Go eat some more candy & leave me alone.
I can understand just wanting to be stronger, but that still requires work and consistency.
Kind of like life coaches who haven’t accomplished shite, are in debt, and have no type of wealth to speak of
