Definitely. I know some pothead hippies that went full MAGA country music baw, as well as some good country baws who went full soy boy.

I also know one kid who liked to act like a hispanic gangster who is now 100% redneck baw

Yes, but I'm sure, by now, many of us have high school cohorts that have made the ultimate change.

They've gone from living to dead.

yes, in fact my best bud from high school, someone who we did everything together. were close as brothers, and who I've kept in touch with for the past 50 years is a staunch biden supporter. He changed from being a really decent person, to a real idiot. So frick HIM.

I have a formerly close high school friend who was sort of wild and certainly did not have the brain power to understand anything political or to be involved in social causes at all back then. He now has some made up "inclusion director" job, is partner in an upstart consulting company, speaks in PC catchphrases that mean absolutely nothing, and talks shite about the South. I still love my dude, but we aren't close anymore because of our differing views on life.

Anyone went to school with a girl who is now hot but wasn't

If they were unfrickable at 18, not much is gonna change to fix that. Few exceptions include the chick who would be but needs to lose 40 lbs and have the excess skin removed, but otherwise she is pretty.

So Chris, how’s your new President working out for you so far? Let’s see in the first 48:

- forgot to salute troops, muttered “salute the troops”. eeesh, embarrassing.
- let the troops sleep in a concrete parking garage in the dead of winter.
- Put forth a COVID vaccination plan....that is identical to the previous administration’s.
- destroyed Women’s rights by allowing boys to dress as girls and compete in girl sports
- joined us back into the Paris Climate Accord so we can shovel away millions in tax dollars....for?
- nuked 80k jobs and ruined one state’s economy by killing the Keystone pipeline.
- sent a military convoy into Syria, because?
- violated his own mask mandate by ‘celebrating’ on Federal grounds without a mask.
- Also, the 8k COVId deaths yesterday that fall squarely on his shoulders. (that’s how that works right?)

Ohh and he’s talking about signing another EO to raise minimum wage to $15/hour and causing overnight inflation across the nation putting even more people into poverty.

did I miss anything? “Build Back Better”, right?
....seems more like “America Last” should be his slogan.

It's the ones who never changed who are bothersome.

The highlight of their life was something done in high school

I have a good friend that was all-state in football, four year starter in college, smart guy, has had a great career(President of Pinkerton security before the buyout,) when we get together for golf he refers to himself as "87," and that's part of his vanity plate and the plate on his golf cart, his wife(from our high school,) says he's constantly talking about the glory days, and on date night he likes to go parking, just like in high school(that part I like )

I know a guy who was just an average racist for the small town we grew up in the 80's. He married his HS girlfriend had kids, then just recently got divorced and married a black girl.

Don't really keep track of that many from High School but the folks that I know about ended up pretty close to where I expected them to be.

The people who I thought were going to "settle" for average jobs in average towns did just that. The people who I thought would get some major inheritance did just that. One of the high school sweetheart couples got married as expected. A few of the kids that hated living where we grew up left and neve came back. I'm in that group although we are considering moving back to Louisiana.

There are a few who I thought would be married by now but are still single. One very quiet, extremely shy classmate is earning millions doing exactly what he always wanted to do. None of that is really controversial though. Just unexpected.

My closer friends are all doing very well (knock on wood) and still seem healthy and happy.

was talking to an old hs friend of mine recently, he's on fb, I'm not, he was telling me about a guy that was a freshman on our baseball team when we were seniors that posts a lot of pics of him on the sidelines at Atlanta Falcons games, he asked him what was that all about, before the guy could answer, another former baseball team member posted "he's a part owner of the Falcons you dumbass"

I know I made some big changes in my life. I was an angry youth, and while it usually wasn't violent, looking at my old Facebook posts before I deleted it 6 months ago was a real eye opener. I was so mad at a world that I thought had wronged me. The world owed me a job, the world owed me a gf, the world owed ME. I was an arrogant a-hole who had accomplished very little. I'm still a little arrogant, but I was honestly ashamed on how I used to act.
