Why? Now you've just consumed even more propaganda.

People that don't watch the news but interact with the world and make their own conclusions are the smart ones.

Would be nice.

The gay stuff and aids isn't gonna be in the news at least definitely not the news I read. butt sex is ghey but I know a lot of you heathens enjoy it so sorry not sorry. Gonna get worse with the don't say gay stuff in Florida.

The weather is the weather. If you get wiped out that is on you. you can avoid the news with the weather channel app or pic one.

I get not wanting to subject oneself to the opinion "news" stations, but there is still quality news being done locally and nationally

anyone you talk to is going to give you their opinion.
I don't give a F about your opinion or anyone else's only facts and data. downvote away.

I used to be a big consumer of news. But now I feel like It is mostly lies and agenda driven propaganda. I use non-MSM sources to inform myself.

I stopped believing in the news the night trump won (i didnt vote for him then) and watched his acceptance speech. 5 minutes later media talking heads were ranting that he said shite he never actually said. Literally making shite up. Guess I didnt notice it as much before, certainly not as blatant.

But lately, all watching the news has shown me is that its past time we start viciously punishing violent criminals and repeat offenders.

Cant pull a trigger or hold a knife if your hands are cut off. Don't even put them in jail. Let them go. Serve as an example to the rest. Btw I grew up in the east well after all the middle class white people left. If the kids and thugs arent afraid of prison then they must be made to fear something else.

So yeah, I probably shouldn't watch the news because it will only push me further into a Punisher mentality.

And I will add, of course, any reporting of anything is almost always slanted toward left-centric ideology. So you get the event for 1 second and the slanted talking point for 30. ex. CNN's Don Lemon covering hurricane Ian. Here's the hurricane, now let's talk about how climate change is causing it and why and shame people who don't believe it.

Editorialization is the biggest problem with modern news. National nightly network news is probably the only real news that simply reports what is going on without severe slant.

Tell me where to find unbiased or avoid flat out misleading news and I'll watch more. It is better for my health not to watch the dog and pony show they call the news these days.

National news sources have become 'Infotainment'. I watch the local news and that's it: traffic, weather, local interest stories, and local sports. That's it. I don't need some NYC douche telling me what to think about 'the border crisis', 'climate change', or the 'Ukraine conflict'.

I'd bet if they do studies, these people lead much happier lives.

And the vast, vast majority of shite you watch on the news won't affect you directly so it's mostly a waste of time. If it is something that'll affect you directly, you'll surely know or find out about it whether or not you watch the news.

Ignorance is Bliss

I envy these people. I wish I could live a more simple life and not have to worry or think about our fu*ked up world.

Intelligence is a blessing and a curse in my opinion.

The dumbest people I know are also the happiest.

I consider the OT to be a legitimate source of news. As a matter of fact it's usually my first source. But I also keep an eye on what the Dems are up to. Know thy enemy.
