you act like this is the first and only time there have been trials for drugs/vaccines on children...its kind of part of the process.
My problem is with the parents. Forcing your child into this without knowing long term effects is disgusting. The child doesn’t have a choice in this.
What if there are issues with growth and development are found and you’ve screwed your kid for life?

All parent need to know. Make your child a test rat. Sounds like a good thing to do with a child. Play experiment!

Tell me, how do you study the long term effects of giving a child a vaccine if you can't give them the vaccine?

it's going to mandatory for school attendance once it's approved.
I’ve never attended a school board meeting in my life but I will lead the charge at them if AP tries to make it mandatory for my children. I will not go down without a fight and AP needs to understand there are a hundred thousand other parents just like me here.

As long as this vaccine is voluntary, why would anyone have an issue with it.
bruh, we've been living this bullshite long enough to know that it all starts as voluntary and ends with the government putting their foot up your arse.

Someone has to do it. But usually these things get done because there’s a true need for it to happen and the people being tested don’t have other options because they’re in a situation where they need to try a drug in testing. The vaccine is not necessary for kids. Not so save their lives. Not even to keep them from being really sick which is why many people give their kid flu shots. The ONLY incentive for a kid to get the covid vaccine is mandate related and not as a result of a risk evaluation.
My son won’t get it.

This is a voluntary study to assess short term, and hopefully long term, impacts of this vaccine on young individuals. As long as this vaccine is voluntary, why would anyone have an issue with it.
Because young people aren't qualified to makes decisions of this magnitude. That is why they can't sign legally binding documents until they are 18. Therefore their parents are making this decision for them, so not really voluntary for the kids.

Chick looks like she’d sign up for the Taliban too.

Why are you not capable of admitting that there has been no long term study on COVID-19 vaccines? I think this is what most people are concerned with. I don't need to attend medical school to know that we haven't even studied this specific vaccine for a year.

And if it's proven to be safe, so what?

Updated OP. This trial will be for children 6 months up to 11 years starting in October.

I'm all for freedom to test however they want on willing individuals. However, these are kids being tested by their parents willingness. I would not be against it if covid was an issue for these age groups, but it's not really.
I have the same stance on all ages of people. So many think everyone should get the vaccine. Why? How about just the people who need it, get it, if they want to. So many pathetic individuals in society today.
I don't get it. I can't complete the following sentence and come to the conclusion that so many like myself should even conciser getting the vaccine. A young healthy person should get the vaccine because....?
Covid is killing unhealthy people. Can't check that box.
Covid is killing elderly people. Can't check that box.
Covid is killing people with comorbidities. Can't check that box.
Obviously if you can check any of those boxes, then you should consider getting the vaccine. Again though, I can't complete the above sentence. The same thing goes for most children as described in the op.
