First, how do you know? Second, what’s with the quotation marks around “god”?

Never understood the difference. The intent is what "god" sees not the arbitrary words used to convey that intent. Every dadgummit Bobby Bowden ever spewed reminded me of this.

Show me in the rules it says I can’t cuss. This isn’t a god thing, more of a human thing.

Never experienced this but I’m not a fan. If you’re not capable of captivating and relating to people without that schtick, with that subject material; you’re probably not in the right place.

Senator Larry Craig was a big proponent of this. After he was arrested for fellating random men at the airport, he was interviewed on national TV and he said something like, "Jeepers! Homosexual?!? Well, shuck me right in the keester, I never! Why, Jiminy!"

A lot of words we use today are truncated versions or alterations of vulgarity.

Don't see anything wrong with it, nor should anyone with kids.

I wish these pastors would just let it rip instead of pretending they aren't by saying ridiculous phrases like mother scratcher and sun of a bullfighter.
I know several priests that say frick this or frick that - it’s unexpected, but priests, pastors, preachers are all human.

I have a family member who is a priest, he cusses like a “normal” person, he also drinks

ETA: if you’re implying that he does it during a homily (or sermon or whatever y’all call it), then that is pretty weird and unprofessional

You had to be there. It was perfect. The family said afterwards how it was nice for someone to be real instead of showering the usual kind words on them.

A good pastor will lead people not only preach to them.

The Bible never says not to swear, just don't take god's name in vain.
