Is it wrong of me to laugh at all the people striking out in this thread.

Maybe they are the coach’s friends there to support him.

I’ve never seen a parent cheer a SO in coaches pitch. If anyone does, that’s complete trash behavior. I’ve seen kids do it because it’s an out for the fielding team, but even that is muted

If you are cheering for your own team's pitcher to strike the opposing batter out, nothing wrong with that. If you are directing all of your negative cheers at the opposing batter, then yes, that's trashy.

The pitcher's parents have the right to celebrate.
I am not sure a 45 year old coaches 70 year old parents are going to be cheering for him striking out their grandson.
You fricking idiot

Who ever downvoted this man yall are those people! Good old participation trophy parents. If you don't want your kids to lose or be competitive, then don't let them compete. Participation trophy parents are a problem, it's ridiculous and ignorant

It's the same thing! If your cheering for your pitcher to strike a kid out! Your cheering against the kid, no matter how ya slice it

Maybe you shouldn't comment on things that you obviously know nothing about.

Off topic a bit, but I overheard some grown adults talking about how many games a year their 6 & 7 year olds were playing in travel ball. One mentioned how much better the kids were after playing 30 games in the fall.
wtf? 30 games in the fall for a 7 year old?

You think so? Example:
Cheering for the pitcher - "hey Jimmy, let's strike this batter out"
Cheering against the batter - " hey batter...you suck! You might as well give up baseball."

Coach pitch cheering when the kid strikes out? No. Does this really happen? Lol
Posted on 9/25/24 at 6:41 pm to TackySweater
8 pages and no one said who plays coaches pitch in late September. They got year round coaches pitch travel ball now?
Posted on 9/25/24 at 7:41 pm to TackySweater
I don’t like it. Not trashy, but ridiculous at that age.

Why wouldn't a parent cheer when their kid strikes someone out?
If I have learned anything over the years on the OT it’s that the MLB scouts are always watching so it’s never too early to get them excited.

They’re cheering for the pitcher. Glass half full.
