Paid $8.99 for 12 pack of Diet Dr. Pepper.
Less than 2 years ago, the "regular" price was $4.59, and often you would see them on sale for 4 for $12 or less, $3/ piece.

"8.3% inflation". My arse.

What are some other egregious inflationary grocery items?
What are you paying now? What did you pay in the past?

Meanwhile, the single serve Great Value Greek yogurts at Walmart are still only 64 cents a piece.

Yeah, I noticed while I was in Walmart the other day that a case of Cokes was $12.30. It was less than a year ago when they were under 9 dollars.

Almost like the inflation number is an average and isn't the same across all items.

Also companies don't give a frick about any inflation percentage. They are going to charge what they think they can get away with. Pretty simple.

You must not live in the south or midwest. Six pack of any soft drink is 5.99 at walmart. Even the 24 pack of coke is cheaper than 12 dollars in louisiana.

Is WI midwest?

Case of Diet Coke is 12.88.

It was under $7 last year when on sale. Hasn't been on sale since.

this is what happens when political parties refuse to hold their candidates to a higher standard. Spending has been out of control for decades, this was inevitable.
