Apparently, Mt. Moriah is abandoned due to the board of supervisors all dying with no clear successor. No one owns it, so it's just kind of there. It's become a dumping ground for tires and bodies. Cops found a crypt with two murder victims in it, one of whom had been missing for 3 years. LINK
This edgelord ghoul apparently chose the site because of its historical significance and its reputation of neglect. He'd drive down to Philly and fill trash bags with bones, then sell them in a facebook bone collectors group. (Not making that up.)
The cemetery has a lot of notable burials (Betsy Ross, 25 Medal of Honor recipients, etc.), so it's possible he desecrated some important graves.
