Ok just read ENTIRE thread. You sir are a scholar and a gentleman. Thank you for this. Truly amazing.
So you cant tell us the story from start to what you know now?
Thats cool if you cant. Im totally invested here. If you need a hand on anything im close to Tuscaloosa and would be willing to help out. Just a thought.

Is repossession of the bike from you a possibility? If the story simply ends with the you all keeping the bike, its still an epic thread and great outcome.

I'm not gonna post it again, but it was just a stupid cartoon gif of a guy reading something on a computer, then his dick jumps out with binoculars on.

Thats why it was quashed. It should have been a monocle.

After speaking to the local law enforcement folks it sounds a bit like they were going to “pocket veto” the whole affair. Not sure, it it’s what it sounded like. I wanted to give them the opportunity to be successful but it looks like that’s not in the cards.
I’m expecting a call back from the local guy and I think my response is going to be thanks but I’m pursuing other avenues.
I’m going to elevate this.

What the heck is a pocket veto? Please tell me local law enforcement doesn't want to drop the whole thing? If so any chance of getting feds involved? It sure sounded like the shenanigans going on were serious enough for that.

Sounds like they're in on it or they are too close to the parties involved.
Is this a matter for the FBI?

Just spoke to the investigator again. I don’t think he did anything to date based on the conversation.
I told him that I had someone at the state level that wanted to look at it and I was getting ready to make a call and it would be out of my hands. I was asked to hold off of elevating it and action would be taken soon.
This was humorous for a while. I’m no longer laughing...

That's awesome. I used to have some DFW area tote-the-note car lots that put GPS devices on their cars. The police would find them in other states. Other car dealers that used the same GPS device/service would do what you said you originally wanted to do. They'd put the car on their lot, sell it, and send an agreed on amount to the DFW dealer. The manager of a lot told me all about the process one day after a guy in Denver called him saying they'd found one of his cars.
I got a stolen Columbia road bike back the day after it was stolen from my parents' carport. Police officers were taking a teenage kid to a juvenile detention center. They stopped for gas, and let him go to the bathroom. He got away from them and ran until he saw the bike. He got on it and rode over 60 miles before they caught him.
I almost felt like he deserved the bike after finding out he rode it 60+ miles.

At the end of this story the democrats finally prove the Russian collusion and Sidney Powell actually releases the kraken. Due to these simultaneous events, the stolen motorcycle outcome never makes the news cycle.

Another semi update.
So as you know there was some nefarious stuff going on related to the motorcycle. Proof of these things exist and were laid it out in a very clear manner and sent it to the investigator.
When I spoke with him last, he mentioned some things he believed about what happened which contradicted the evidence I supplied him with. I asked him if he looked at the material and he said something like "yeah I was meaning to look at that". He also said "I need to swing by there and talk to them because I'm not sure they are aware they broke the law". I told him that we are way past that and laid out the crimes that I have proof they committed and told him there is no way you can do this without knowing you're breaking the law.
Prior to our conversation his is understanding of what went on was based on what he was told by the shop owner and the female involved. Also, I think he knows them personally because he mentioned them by first name.
I told him that I was aware of others with other agencies that were interested in picking up the case and moving forward and that soon it would be out of my hands. He asked me to hold off and he would work it. He now knows that I can prove these crimes were committed and other agencies are interested in looking into it. I think at this point he's figured out that he won't be able to squash this after the latest development.
I'm giving him until Monday afternoon to move on this.

If the cops don't move on it, call the local news
Posted on 2/27/21 at 1:00 pm to Displaced
He does not want to move forward, at all. If pushed, he will, but the question is, how far will he go with it? I have invested zero in this, so that is about what my opinion is worth, I realize that, but I would go to the state.

I've only been passively following this thread, but I hope there's a Netflix series made from this saga like they did for "Don't F**K With Cats", just call it Don't F**K With Tigerdroppings.

Just send it to state police or if they have a bureau of investigations.
