Just able to post again....solid work by you to get it this far. Amazing post, and for the posters who were asking about the stolen boat, it was possum jenkins who saw it on I310 and let the owner know. This thread and that one are all timers

Just to give everyone a realistic idea of where this is and the timeline, I thought I would update.
I was going to start repairing the motorcycle but was told to hold off by law enforcement. I can only assume it's because I am in posession of evidence that may be pertinent in the future.
Additional things were found by the me and BruceJender as I mentioned earlier. These are being followed up on per law enforcement.
This will likely take a few weeks and I'm not sure I'll have any updates of substance until then.
Based on what I know at this point, MANY laws were broken relating to this motorcycle and the events in this thread.
I fully expect that everyone will be satisfied at the outcome when this is over but that outcome is up to law enforcement at this time.

Just exchanged some texts with the investigator working this. He asked me to take a bunch of detailed photos of the bike in its current state.
The case is still being worked and is progressing. This is likely not a quick process so the waiting game continues...

I'll be calling Law Enforcement today. Some of the folks in this story have "doubled-down" on stupid in a way that defies all logic and sanity. This really defies all reasonable explanation and no on here is going to believe it.
