Especially penis size. :nohomo:

In all seriousness, Louisiana's median household income ranges from a low of ~$24k in East Carroll (I bet land is cheap AF there), to a high of ~$64k in Ascension. Those parishes are also low and high for family income, at $26k and $72k - that's a $40k to $46k difference.

Household income median for the state is about $43.5k and families is $53.7k.

Something else I learned from this research - other than the 12 people in Mound, folks in Madison Parish must not have a literal pot to literally piss in. Wow.

Yeah, but there are no pensions in the private sector (for the most part)

You can probably find some dump house in Lake Providence for nothing if that is what you are talking about but farm land up there isn't cheap AF. That entire area is either in ag or a hunting club and all of that shite is nosebleed money.

As some have said, $100K is not a magical number. There is a lot more to life than how much someone earns and the marginal value of a dollar really goes down pretty quickly. I will say that my income allows me to not ever stress about money which is a major component of the “value” I get. Not worrying about money is actually just as good as having it in the first place.

Agreed. Quality of life is more important. Finding that balance of quality and a good paycheck is key.

I love how you post in every thread about money, because you apparently think that everyone in Louisiana is poor

Is it that hard to believe that a message board dominated by college graduates has a few dozen people who make more than 100k?

The average salary for a college graduate is way higher than the average salary for a non-graduate.

Not to mention that this thread is specifically targeting people who have made $100k+. Of course there aren't going to be many responses from people making less. Also consider that a number of the respondents don't even live in Louisiana.

I haven't posted in an OT braggart thread about income in almost a year. You must have been pretty shaken up back then.
