You think a Dem Governor and legislature are going to remove him over that?
The state of Missouri, with a Republican Governor and legislature, can’t even remove the DA of St Louis who is dismissing all kinds of cases for no reason and committed fraud and suborned perjury through her successful effort to hound the governor of Missouri out of office.
There are three ways someone like that leaves. Ballot box, federal prison, pine box.

One of two things will happen.
1. Feds show up and all further charges go through federal court to bypass the dumbass DA
2. Portland burns to the ground
Possibly both.
I vote both

And it starts....this will happen more and more, and parts of this country will revert back into Old West-type days of lawlessness. If this is truly what the left wants, then they can go frick themselves. Even if this isn't what they want, then they are too stupid to realize that shite like this is inevitable when you keep poking the bear.
Idiots. That city deserves whatever happens to it as far as I'm concerned. And as much as I don't want it to happen and think that we are heading for bad times, good on the SPD for recognizing that the work they do is for naught there and acting on that. Now they can go focus their attention on places that deserve their services.

Can they? It's an elected official. What do their laws provide for removal of that particular official.
Let these voters die because of their choices.

Let it freaking burn. Frick these idiots

Portland should live and die by their choice.
The St Louis DA should go up the fricking river for committing fraud and other crimes to force out a political rival.

Schmidt is another Soros - backed ultra progressive D.A. who was bankrolled with one agenda: do his part in letting the justice system break down into chaos, dragging the city down with it. San Fran has the exact same kind; Seattle as well....as many as 20+ D.A.s were bankrolled by Soros for just this purpose.

this is it. keep in mind that the dems (i think) are trying to bait DJT into sending fed troops into any city. then wait and see what the dems do when they finally get power back. the standard will have been set for them to do too many things with federal enforcement.

Good... let that fricking liberal communist city burn to the fricking ground along with everyone in it.

he has already been saying this, basically. I hope cities continue to burn until the dumbass liberals in this country see how dumb democrats are and switch parties
They never see this though. I was all for letting these places burn too but the problem is these a-hole idiots are now moving to other places and trying to ruin them.
“My dumbass thoughts and policies have left 1 city in shambles, let me tell you how wrong it is the way you are running your peaceful town and why you need to follow these idiotic liberal ideals”

How is it legal for a DA to not prosecute people for criminal activity? Seems like that is criminal in itself. Malfeasance in office?
If you can stand to read the Chicago news about their DA who dismissed all the charges against Smollett and many, many, many others.
The decline to prosecute is a disease among a certain demographic not related to melanin.

People want to see some law and order in all this chaos. By sending in the feds to protect federal property he's showing that he won't let these places do what they want, but if they want to let the rest of their city burn, then so be it. All he has to do is keep offering or threatening to send in the feds to protect the rest of the city, then let the local politicians reject it. That'll let everyone know who the bad guys are.
