They’ve been dating for a little over a year. She wanted a tattoo (big one) down her arm. He told her he would rather her not do it. She got one. He said I’m out.

I don’t blame him at all really ..he told me that he liked her, but he didn’t like her that much and he hates tattoos, so I guess it was a win for everybody.

With that being said I agree with him that tattoos are trashy as frick.

I don’t understand why people, especially attractive women cover their bodies with ink ….one day in the near future I have to believe they’re gonna wake up and go. What the frick was I thinking?

If true, best decision he could make.
You don’t put bumper stickers on Cadillacs.

Good call by your friend.

He made his point before she got the tattoo. She did it anyway.
Her body her choice, sure. But his life and his choice on breaking up with her.

I just told him I said nobody wants to be known as the controlling boyfriend but hey man, if you have standards you have standards.

Needs to happen more. Draw a line in the sand, adhere to it and move on.

That’s better than than the men who say they broke up with their girlfriend because she farted or some dumb shite like that.

She'll probably have 5 more in the next 5 years. May as well bounce now.

A slighty different spin on the weekly OT Bitch about Tattoos Thread(tm). At least it is slightly different.

One of my buddies once broke up with his girlfriend because she ordered him a cocktail when he was in the bathroom because she thought the beer he'd asked for was trashy

I personally have no problem with them. Some women look good with them, but a lot of women don't look good with them. Years ago, I went through a rough patch and got 2 tattoos. Everyday I look at my self in the mirror and regret getting them.

Good for your boy having the foresight to know it would be a problem and getting out when the getting was good.

Poor life choice decisions.

A tattoo like that screams impulsivity. Just a matter of time until they were married and she just had to say no the the chad at the hotel bar.

Your friend made a good decision!

Yep. I've got no problem with some ink, but I would have a problem with my SO doing something I was vocally against. They'll both be happier with other people.

He made the correct call. Tattoos are attention seeking behavior.

And yet this still turns into another OT referendum on tattoos.

Tats are losing popularity.

Natural unmolested bodies are more beautiful.
