Yea it’s not about the tattoo, it’s about him telling her don’t do it and she did it anyway. Shows she doesn’t truly respect him as a man. He did the right thing to end it right then. Took balls honestly. Good for him.

I bet if we drop in on her in 3-4 years she'll be covered in shitty ink and been run through by the entire county and the guy will be with a high value female.

You don’t put bumper stickers on Cadillacs.

This completely false.
No one looks better with a tattoo. The hot chicks looked better before and the ugly chicks were already ugly.
It’s like the stupid fashion you see models wearing. It looks good on them because they are models. But they would look better in something else.

I’ve never seen a tattoo that looks good on a woman. Never saw a woman who looked better with a tattoo.
We've all heard the saying that the tv camera adds 10 pounds, well tats on women adds about 10 years.

He made a great decision. I can tolerate that lower back tattoo but even that’s a stretch. I gave up a beautiful nympho doctor in my younger years because I just couldn’t get over that dragon tattoo on her back. She was a red haired goddess … why anyone withdraw on perfection such as her makes no sense to me.

One of my nieces is/was a beautiful young lady----blonde hair, good figure, pretty face, nice skin tone, etc.
Then she started getting tatted up. At first just small ones, then progressively larger ones and more often. It's disgusting what she's done to herself and I'm pretty sure one day she will regret the choices she's made over the past 2 years.

All tattoos look like S**T 10 hears after you've gotten them. I can give men a pass for a tastefully done tattoo. They look trashy as frick on women.

I see no issue with that - there is a laundry list of reasons I would agree - but for me the main reason is it looks trashy, and if that makes me shallow so be it - if it's a person that I am thinking about a long term relationship with I have that right to be picky - my life.
Plus tats in my perception are look at me things and that's not a trait I like in folks either.

They’ve been dating for a little over a year. She wanted a tattoo (big one) down her arm. He told her he would rather her not do it. She got one. He said I’m out.
Good for him.

One day they'll all need Turlington's Tattoo Remover.

I've never understood the tattoo phenomenon.
I'm okay with a small one on your ankle or arm(birthdate of a child, wedding date, etc), but those that get sleeve tattoos/and or have one over every inch of their body just screams mental instability/poor decision maker.
It is a fashion fad that will eventually run its course. Just like many fashion fads. The problem is you can't just throwaway the tattoo like you can the pair of baggy jeans. I'm certain there are people who have tattoos they love that have special meaning to them. But I'm equally as certain there are many, if not more, that got one because it is popular now but will soon come to dislike it once it goes out of style. I know MANY people who have tattoos, often small and in inconspicuous spots that don't like them anymore 10, 15, 20 years after the fact. Luckily, they can mostly hide them in the appropriate setting.
Getting a whole arm sleeve though? That's either a lifestyle choice or indicative of people with poor impulse control/lack of foresight.

I don't see the problem? It's okay for men to have preferences now.
Women break up with men all the time if lose their jobs, gain too much weight, or they lose the "spark." Men can do the same thing.
Im starting to think a lot of this animosity in dating these days is just men doing the same things that women have been doing to men for decades because they see them as equals now. They're losing a lot of the privileges they had and aren't liking it.

She chose to have a "look at me" decoration that would not be appreciated by a large number of people. In doing that she chose to ignore her boyfriend's dislike of big tatoos and she told him, clearly where he fit on her list of people.
Good, she saved him more money than she spent on the big decoration.
