Yeah indigent care is to blame for that. Not OLOL. And you are a bad troll.
Posted on 11/11/18 at 11:31 pm to coachgeaux
So which friends / family members of Funes are coachgeaux and LSUMegaFan4Life?
It’s like they’re hired PR slanters.

Why did you go to the hospital for an aspirin?
Walgreens has bottles of 100 for like $8.

OLOL is one of the most risk averse organizations I’ve ever seen. While I am surprised that the Foundation systems allowed this to go unchecked for what appears to be a significant amount of time, the systems did catch up. What this is indicative of is the amount of trust that the sisters and Scott Wester has in Funes. There aren’t many people who would have been in a position to pull something like this off in the first place.
Now, having said that, I will also say that the way this likely happened (not the mechanics of it, but the 10,090 foot view) is that OLOL bureaucracy is so cumbersome that it can take a long time for one part to know what is happening in another part. That coupled with the fact that the Foundation is a legally separate organization gives some cover to anyone trying to pull something like this off. And going back to my initial point- they trusted him. So they weren’t expending a lot of energy looking at his activities. He was bringing in a lot of money and was compensated well. Things seemed like they were going well. I’m sure OLOL was much more focused on hospital expenditures, billing, etc. than the Foundation. Looks to be an expensive lesson. And whoever comes after Funes will be subject to invasive scrutiny.

Scott, you are in way over your head on this one. As it has been previously mentioned, you are opening yourself up for some unwanted legal troubles with your continued slanderous attacks against OLOL and LSU. I suggest you quietly take a step back and let things play out like the rest of us.

Exactly how stupid are you? At least you went back and got rid of most of your mind garbage. I am going to try and explain this to you. Stating that you are curious if he possibly had an unknown drug problem, or gambling debts is different than saying "I know that fricker was getting that money funneled through him to athletes. And OLOL knew about it so they are guilty as homemade sin too."quote:It is cute that you think deleting it makes it go away.
You were slandering a lot of people and institutions.
Oh, I've got screenshots with date/Time stamps of Scott's post.
He can delete all he wants. Ole baw definitely crossed the line. Carry on.

The scheme was only supposed to be a fraction of a cent per transaction

BlackAdam, you seem pretty well versed on white collar crime. What if it is how you described except the person that wrote the check knew the monies would be diverted. How would that get caught?
Why run that through the foundation?

BlackAdam,
If I were looking for reasons for this in a hypothetical, here are some that come to mind:
1. I need to make something that looks like a legit donation out of my company.
2. I want plausible deniability if things go sideways.
3. I don't want my wife to know what I am doing.
4. I want to partially offset the cost of my activity with a charitable deduction on my taxes
Just brainstorming here. What do you think?

I don't know Pete. But I have never seen more threats to shut people up than I have on this board. Seems like the machine has its henchmen out doing clean up.

Well put Bill a mans life is in ruins and the only thing people care about is the reputation of the State...this is straight out of 1984

Lol
It seems like Frick and Frack have done all they can to extend the life of this thread by spreading a wild theory without any substance to it and are now maintaining that others are spreading rumors.
There has been no hard news since the day after the story came out.
I'm guessing that sooner rather than later the DA will act one way or another. Why the BS?

This is a place where speculation always runs rampant. I am amazed that some people are now getting angry that speculation is running rampant.

Who is getting angry?
Frick and Frack? I don't think so,
They are enjoying their 15 minutes and probably laughing their butts off.

So far people have speculated Funes is drug addict, fine diner, lone wolf criminal mastermind, he was stealing to get his family out of trouble, gambling addict, bag man etc ...maybe people should wait it out before they pass judgement on this person
Posted on 11/12/18 at 10:01 am to coachgeaux
Wait....so you gave up on the LSU/BR Illuminati conspiracy after someone outed you? You and your little butt buddy were the only ones claiming anything nefarious with LSU

This is not a court of law. This is a place for wild speculation. If you don't like it you are welcome to not read it.

Why run that through the foundation
Simple! The "elites" bribing players also want to be able to write off the bribe as a donation on their taxes. They needed the cooperation of the OLOL Foundation to complete their brilliant scheme. Like Mongo, Funes is just a pawn in the game of life. He is being manipulated by the elites.
ETA: Holy frick! I just read the post after the one I initially responded to. That lunatic is serious about the tax deduction angle. This is just about the absolute zenith of mongoloid reasoning ...
I don't want to risk directly or indirectly bribing a player with my personal funds because my wife might find out. Hmmmm, my brilliant solution is to defraud my own corporation, embezzle from a local non-profit through a pawn, and risk the scrutiny of both law enforcement and the IRS. That makes perfect sense ... If you're an idiot.
