re: Deer Rifle for 14 yo girl - deathinthedelta
I wouldn’t hesitate to let my 11 year old daughter shoot regular 7-08 bullets when hunting. She won’t be able to tell the difference between them and managed recoil if shooting a deer. You can order managed recoil for target practice from bass pro cabelas midway Rodgers etc right now.....

re: I wish I had a dollar for every deer I saw today - deathinthedelta
I went rode around Tuesday evening. Onward west down Hwy 1 to Hwy 465. Took the levee south to the closed part, back out the same way. We saw 500-600+ deer, probably 100 rack bucks or more. No exaggeration. Every field had 10 -50 or more deer, bucks everywhere. I have no idea how many we saw, but t...

re: Mississippi River high water rule-hunting closing? - deathinthedelta
Delta National Forest was closed today. Feds left a folded up notice in my door handle this morning. Didn’t they they would close it until Steele Bayou gauge hit 90 ft but looks like they shut it down before that. Guess I’ll have to change tactics ...

re: Does anyone have an Thermostat that uses Wifi like a Nest or Honeywell lyric? - deathinthedelta
Only difference on their website comparison is no built in occupancy sensor in the lite. I have a 3 and a 3 lite and can’t honestly tell any difference between the 2. If you have an amazon Alexa you can tell it to change thermostat settings. It’s easier to just use the app imho...

I have 2 ecobee’s. Really happy with them. Just installed a Honeywell at my wife’s work. Honeywell interface is pretty simple. Ecobee is really slick as well $100 for the Honeywell, ecobees are a little more $$. I don’t think you could go wrong with either. One of the ecobees had a problem, tech...

re: OT PLUMBERS: NEED SOME ASSISTANCE - deathinthedelta
Good chance some ants got inside the contacts on the pressure switch. Water pressure dropped, contacts energized, and fried their asses but made the contacts stick. I've seen this on A/C contacts too. When it rains, they like to climb up in shite to find a dry spot....
