The supreme court had a ruling a couple months back making siezure and freezing of funds BEFORE a conviction illegal.
Civil asset forfeiture is terribly corrupt, but still legal...

One might simply look "suspicious" because it's time for ERAD to get a Royalty check. How do you prove the source of the money in your bank account on the side of an Oklahoma highway?
"ERAD Group will receive a 7.7 percent cut of all funds seized via the card readers."

You're being a argumentative arse now.
In multiple threads...or have you guys missed the shitshow he turned the other cop thread into?
Honestly...please simply see this when you see his name, and allow him to post way without engaging him. You guys wasting your time linking articles are not going to win this one...not because you're not right, but because he'll never admit he's wrong.
Everyone would be better served...

Props on reading anything I've said. NYNola can be reasonable and actually reads what I say. You parrot stupidity with no basis. Feel free to ignore me if you like. I'm pretty sure the world will keep spinning.

The key is,they like to do this to people who are not from Oklahoma. It's usually going to be out of state people, that send money out of state.
You wouldn't be subject to the inspection sticker thing. You live in a different state, and your vehicle is registered there.

The vehicle-mounted scanners are also capable of retrieving and storing limited account information from other cards as well, such as banking debit cards, credit cards and “payment account information from virtually any magnetic stripe card,”

Somehow, I feel like this just takes the fun out of road trips.

the officer can use the device to freeze the funds, preventing withdrawal or use of the money in the account,
If it stopped here, it would only be mildly enraging.

or seize the funds by having them transferred to a law enforcement financial account, the patent states.
But this is absolutely insane and unnecessary, even to the general fricked up point they may think they have.

I would expect this from a statist liberal democrat but infinity frick anyone who calls themselves a small government conservative and still supports this bullshite theft.

Well they still have to show probable cause and get a seizure warrant signed and they still have to prove in court that the money is illegal.

They could just seize the physical prepaid cards, but as always, it's about the revenue.

The owner could still access those funds without the card.

Screw the courts and due process. Roadside drive through justice because "I smell weed."
Sorry bitch, you gotta hitch hike your broke arse through the state of dust and wind. Piss on Oklahoma.
