Go see a cardiologist or your PCP. These are serious symptoms.

A few years ago I had a bad chest cold (maybe pneumonia I can’t recall) and a few days later my shoulder my was hurting. After X-rays it was determined that the cold had actually moved into my shoulder

Possible Lyme disease. Strong antibiotics will knock it out in a couple weeks.

Come on dude, this seems like a bit of embellishment. That is a shite load of imaging to accomplish in a few days.

Gram negative in a blood culture is not good. Most blood cultures contaminates are gram positive cocci. If sepsis, they are treating appropriately. Good luck. Hope you get better soon.

Well I am still in the hospital but I finally have a dx, and it’s like everything in my medical history zebra as they come. Tut is definitely always a Zebra never a horse.

Think as usual in the 5k to 10k cases a year, (the tut zone), rare makes absolutely no sense and you can forget tying to figure out how I got it, but if it was late Summer we would all guess wade fishing or something.

It’s a crazy amount of test and I may be off a bit but I am counting each test not each visit so yesterday I did 3 MRIs one on each shoulder and one cervical on one visit, one visit they did 5, today I did 2 MRIs both on spine looking for an abscess, one with contrast one without so that’s 10 in last 3 days at this hospital, I did two other visits here and two at other hospital so I am pretty sure fairly accurate on that. The CT scans were apeshit nuts I think I did four or five sets of this at first hospital alone I have no clue but it was a lot more CT scans than X-rays or MRIs. It was also overkill but they were clueless. I told the MRI guy today I have to be the most MRI CT scanned guy in mobile right now. You have to remember they did the dreaded compartmental medicine deal with me with each unit acting almost independently from Cardio, General, Orthopedic etc ordering their own test etc. they called in infectious disease last which really makes zero damn sense too but that’s another story

If any one has RARE GROUP C BETA HEMOLYTIC STREP you are the winner. I was apparently eaten up with it which is nuts as I was at MD Anderson in March 50 something days earlier for the stomach tumor removal.

Apparently it is as described in its name very rare 1500 case in the US or something. My neuro-surgeon has been practicing over 40 years has never seen anything like it.

They have no clue how I managed to acquire it, and apparently rarely do. I am torn between demons and aliens.

I knew I was lucky, but when my doctor at MD Anderson looked over my records and exclaimed loudly “Oh my God” and told me how lucky I was to be alive, the. gave me a big hug, explaining how sorry she was I had to go through all this, with another big hug at end of my appointment, it really hit him.

Not sure if it was demons or angry aliens but something definitely tried to take me out. God apparently has other plans.

Again, I wouldn’t even wish this shite on a a-hole like Cajunbama
