I thought we'd be past this by now and I thought there was a chance I'd make it through unscathed but the flu (at least that what they say it is, who knows anymore. I know it's bad this year) has been rampant at our house the last 3-4 days. Wife and 2 kids 3 and younger have been fighting it since it came and I thought they were getting over it. Then this morning my 3 year old threw up, wife isn't better, and I've developed a cough and a scratchy throat......hoping this shite is gone by the time the weather gets here

2. The I have an AWD SUV/Pick Up truck with snow tires! I can go as fast as I want!!!! Often seen in Midwest ditches with just the taillights being seen high in the air.

It’s all fun and games until they have to hit the brakes, then it’s fishtail, overreact into a swerve and a quick meeting with a guardrail, a ditch or someone’s rear bumper.

Enjoy your balmy southern weather folks.
I don't think I will be doing any grilling today as we have -13 degrees with 34 mph winds giving a wind chill of -45 degrees. We have received 17" of snow this week and all east-west federal and state highways are closed.
Yesterday the pipes froze up in the pump house when one of the heaters died. Fortunately a had a new one in the garage for just such an occasion. Thought I would have to take the loader tractor to get to the pump house 300 yards from the house, but thanks to that set of brand new Falcon Wildpeak tires on the pickup I was able to bust through without getting stuck. Getting stranded in this deep snow could be a death sentence for me as I have to use a cane and can no longer put forth the effort required to walk very far even on dry ground. The "GOLDEN YEARS".

How many hours a day did you spend outside last summer? TIA

A shite ton. Played a lot of golf. Spent a lot of time in my pool. Way better than this sub-freezing bullshite. But I'm not a fatass.

Point being, if we get any rain at all after midnight on Monday it could freeze on surfaces (Baton Rouge area).

Mother Nature doesn’t care about our preference of too hot or cold. We just have to deal and accept it.

Damn I was under the impression that we had a choice and could vote on the weather. This is devastating news

People be crazy. I got to Kroger on Cantrell a couple days ago and there was plenty of food. Would hate to see the scene today.

Ordered the kids a snow board and we are ready. We get trapped when this happens bc we live in the middle of a mountain in wlr.

The best thing I ever did was sell my house in north Iowa and move south.

It'll get pretty cold down here but no more of that white shite and ice and wind. Had more than my fill.

Good luck and enjoy indoors.
