As far as the date goes, we kind of split the date and have "the office Christmas party" around December 10. It is a potluck.

About a week later, the manager has the office Chirstmas party at their house.

I made cookies for our and they were the only thing that was completely gone at the end.

If you don't want to cook go pick up a tray of Cane's or a wing platter from somewhere.

Costco has huge pumpkin pies for $5.99 if you don't want to spend a lot.

All these "great ideas" people have are the worst...I had a class reunion about three ago...I was hounded for like two months about going..didn't go..Fast forward and they want another one the day after Christmas..I have already had four "reach outs"..Don't these people have a life? They are just relentless..

It would be funny if you brought something fricked up like macaroni and frick it.

Or get one of those huge cans of Chef Boyardee ravioli, open it up and just stick a big spoon in the can... don't heat it up or anything.

Just picked up a Chick fil a nugget tray for our company potluck today. Not sure why all the hate for potlucks. For the guys, they just usually pick something up (hence the nugget tray) and the ladies usually love this kinda thing and whip up some good grub. Good eats while taking some time away from work....what's the problem?

Feel free to send all unappreciated free food my way.

Because it's a cop out, and I find it kind of gross.

I'd love to know what you consider "good eats" at a potluck.

Based on how most of my coworkers present themselves daily, I do not want to hope and pray that they cook in a sanitary kitchen.

Having our office pot luck in about 15 mins. Everyone participates and loves it.

Most of our co workers don't like each other, just tolerate being in the same building. There is very little social mingling other than the arse kissers and management that feel obligated.

It's like multiplying the most disgusting aspects of a typical restaurant buffet.

Like a plate of ramen but uncooked blocks with a bowl of packs of flavors.

What should happen is management should bust off $200 and buy a bunch of pizzas or some other mass feed food and let all the employees get together in a common area for an hour to eat and mingle.

Then get the frick back to your desks and do some work you lazy heathens! This isn't a Holiday. That is on Thursday.

Management not being cheap and actually springing for some pizza or a couple of rounds of drinks.

If it's being organized by non-management, that's actually worse. Have everyone head to the local bar after work and buy a couple of drinks and an appetizer if it's necessary to socialize.
