What was that thing called again before he got in the pros? Oh yeah college... Where you supposed to get an education to support yourself in life.

I don't feel sorry for any pro athlete.

I guess that Newman education didn't help,,,

Obj went to a private school that most regular folk can’t afford.

The current tuition there is more than what I paid for college. And if you attend that school k-12. Holy shite.

Think I've seen it posted on here something about lack of impulse control with certain "folks".

This is gonna get lost in this discussion, but he did make a decent point about the 100M deal really being 60M. Players rarely get the headline number (I bet this is especially true for highly paid WRs and RBs).

Everyone pays taxes. frick these crybabies.

That's BEFORE taxes, agent fees, etc.

And? Let's say he was making $5M per year after everything (agent fees, sponsorships, etc). If he can't survive after making $5M a year for five years, that's not a money problem, that's a HIM problem.

Has he given any thought to investing it conservatively and not pissing it away, except for a generous legal contribution to NILSU?

No, literally not lost. Everyone knows it's not 100 million. But everyone knows it's still a ton of money that gets wasted on watches, suits, homes, drugs, stupid shite etc.

but it’s easy to overspend when you think your contract is $100 million and it’s really only $60 million.

It’s not at all because that’s not how taxes work. They literally take it from you before it hits your account
