Actuaries, professional estimators of risk, are way at the bottom at only 14%.

So higher education generally means less divorce

I think this has less to do with the occupation and more to do with the demeanor and thought process of the person, which leads to both the career choice and the tendency to make a decision to divorce.

I think opportunity plays a big role. Occupations that offer more opportunity for one to stray I would be willing to be a high divorce rate follows. Certainly there are other reasons for divorce aside from infidelity, but I have to think infidelity is far and away the top reason.

I think it has to do with opportunity and attendance.
Jobs that are looked upon as admirable/heroic/high value such as doctors, cops, firemen, soldiers, lawyers, etc. usually give guys lots of opportunities to cheat because women are attracted to those roles. You can add musicians in there too.
Those jobs also tend to require long hours away from home. Women need constant attention. They have a weird kind of amnesia where they continually need relationship maintenance. The phrase “but what have you done for me lately?” Is all too familiar.
So the man is gone a lot, and has a job where women flirt and provide lots of opportunities to him.
Meanwhile, he’s gone a lot and the wife isn’t getting the constant dopamine hits of attention she needs from him. But that pool boy is always so polite and damn he’s got a good body….
Regular 9-5 Joes who are home every night and focus on maintaining a strong loving relationship with their wife can usually go the distance.

Checks out.
Also engineers be like, I've done the math, and it ain't good. I'll need to further calculate the risks vs the known average results and develop a table to determine if I need to stay or go.

Construction trades have to be up there somewhere

Bartenders and Massage therapists? Big shock, lol. Being around drunks all the time and massaging other people all day long can’t be good for a healthy marriage.

Stupid news and pointless. What's with the stupid bubbles and colors? And tell us how many of those people's parents divorced. Trends, not jobs. I almost read that link yo. Phew. Tyrus is not entertained.

Female doctors are the worst. They work the long hours and think coming home to have sex is beneath them. They sure as hell don't suck dick. Every single guy I know that married a female Dr has this problem.

WTF even is that? Like, you just sit around all day like "that guy's pretty tall- probably about 6'2" or "look at that big truck- I bet it weighs almost 5,000 pounds." Who is paying for that??

What is marriage / divorce rate of Divorce Attorneys?
That would be insightful.

That's the closest we can get from this set of data.

Divorce rate probably >80% on each of the above categories
I wonder about this. Musician seems yes because of touring constantly. But I've been surprised looking up actors, especially not well known ones to see they have been married to the same person for a long time.
Just a quick search.

Within the industry, musicians have the highest divorce rates (60%), followed closely by screen stars/actors at 52%.
Highest rates are in the NFL and NBA, go figure.
