Woman burned alive on a Brooklyn subway by a cartel gang member.

No one seems to care.

When I was in my mid 20's, I had a goal of wanting to live/work in New York.

Nowadays I would consider it a punishment.

I'll admit that video has me perplexed. What exactly is her situation? Is she bound to something? She just stands still as she burns and changes her stance at one point but otherwise remains still. Wouldn't the average person be running like a chicken with its head cut off trying to get away from the flames? What am I missing?

Old Denis Leary routine on how people see living in NYC as a badge of honor.

“I was in Nam!”

“I live in New York!”

“Really?!?”

Never has there ever been a crazy person doing something to an innocent person in New York City, especially never on the subway! How unusual!!!

Similar sentiments. Having grown up in a smaller town, i thought it would be great to live in a big city.
