Never has there ever been a crazy person doing something to an innocent person in New York City, especially never on the subway! How unusual!!!
What, in your opinion is better?
A. Remove these “crazy” people from society by putting them into institutions where they cannot harm the general public
B. Let the “crazy” people roam freely among the general public and in fact import more of them.
Take your time. I’m genuinely curious about your views here.

We aren't exactly dealing with the sharpest tools in the shed on here. I love 'em, but jeez.
I love everyone on this board because I know most were born in Louisiana and they are my closest brothers in this world whether we agree on everything or not, hahah.

The myth of making it in NYC has to rival diamonds as the measure of true love or you’re not like other guys as the great lies of all time.

just one extra layer of sensationalism which truly has nothing to do with the crime itself.

My opinion is to accept the fact that NYC has always had crazy people and just because a crazy does something, doesn't mean the city has fallen and is lost.

This would include, e.g., not taking the train to the end of the line in the middle of the night while falling asleep inebriated.
lol...what a ridiculous comment. So, since I'm a grown man from South Louisiana, then I should put myself, as well as my wife and daughter, in potentially dangerous situations when better options are available?

In 1993 when there were 2400 murders and the population was lower, do you think ANYONE predicted murders would fall below 400 in 30 years?
Seriously -what is your standard? We're talking like 20 million people. It's basically drug dealers killing each other for the amount of murders they do have. The chances of a true stranger-on-stranger murder in NYC are very very low.

You probably don’t mean for this to sound like victim blaming, but it does.

lol...some of y'all with your arguments. I was literally in NYC - who said anything about being afraid to go? I've been many times - with and without my family.
It's about choosing an option that is safer.
If you choose to ride the subway - cool, go for it! I don't care.
Why do you care that I choose to take an Uber instead?

NYPD officer casually walks by and does nothing. What a weird video
