Masks don’t stop the spread of the virus and actually may make it easier to catch. They capture droplets which is how it spreads and people with them on touch their faces far more often. And cloth does nothing to prevent it,, the fibers are way to far apart.

These things you circled are also in the St Tammany phase reopening plan. They have an email address set up for comments/concerns/ideas for the general public to contribute and I sent them a nice email telling them exactly where they can shove these restrictions. Many businesses, especially service industry don't have the expendable cash to afford all of these extra necessities on top of product to even try to remain open. I told them that if they want this to be the case, then the local government should supply each business with sanitizer, masks, soap, pay for an industrial cleaning crew, etc for every business having to adhere to this bullshite. That, or let the public make their own health decisions and the govt can frick off. I'm still waiting on a reply a few days later.

Most every restaurant has been doing drive thru/take out where I live. So there have been people inside the restaurant everyday. The manager probably had sex with some of the help on a table or two

From a 23 year olds perspective I’m sure all of this does seem silly, but the 65 year old with diabetes is probably still going to stay indoors unless we give them some confidence. And yes we need those people to help restart the economy.
And you as a 23 year old can make the decision on what you want to do just the same as the 65 year old. Don’t want to go out? Then don’t. The pickup and curbside service in my experience has been exemplary.

Get this rational thought process out of the OT. This is the home to "gubmint has our best interest in mind" thought process.

None of those 3 guidelines should be particularly damaging to a restaurant.
If anything it’s going to give certain individuals more confidence in eating out and helping to restore the economy.

The OT is no place for sound logic.

The mask requirement is to protect others from you. Wear your mask or stay inside.
