Did you leave driving the same car you arrived driving?

NOLA is a cesspool. I used to come over frequently for concerts and sporting events. I don't think there is any reason I would go back with the way things are now. I shouldn't have to fear for my life just driving on the interstate or parking my car in a nice neighborhood. It's a shame too because not that long ago you could feel relatively safe walking around the city especially during the day. Not anymore.

I honestly thought your were quoting The Onion or Babylon Bee. Then I searched and saw it was a real quote from an "activist"

No…but it still sounds better than facing my son knowing I could have protected his mother but I failed to.

It wasn't a casual incarceration.

Your predilection for Volvo motor cars may come back to haunt you (dead) when your less-than-reliable Swedish vehicle decides to play dead in an area that you won't have to play dead in.

Volvos: They're safe but they're unreliable.

Lexus >>>> Volvo

Seriously, I'd take the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway from where you are coming from rather than I-10 through NOLA East.

I usually take old 90 over the Rigolets down to the Folgers/NASA turnoff and then to Almonaster…up onto the high rise. So I’m general I like to minimize the ‘what could go wrong’.

I wonder what the frick he means when he says “fed up.”

Carjackings were up 20% in 2021 with 288 cars jacked. In the first 3 days of 2022 there were 8.

There is a chop shop somewhere.

Is there a trend in the type of cars getting jacked?

Doesn’t seem like it.
Generally they use them to commit other crimes for a few days then ditch them

Of course he did. And probably got paid to do it. And asked his “flock” to vote for her as well.

I will not drive through New Orleans any more. I rather complete detour and go around the city. You have a chance of even getting shot on the interstate.

Hell with that place. Just light it on fire.

Go today. You can't conceal legally without the physical card on your person and the gubmint isn't going to be in any hurry to issue it.

Exactly, he had time to figure out the caliber of the likely semi auto handgun and assumed the semi auto rifle was some sort of "assault rifle".

That being said, sounds like I need to ensure that I'm packing in NO. Car jackings seem to be UP.
