All for guns for self protection, but isn't it a tad unrealistic to think your concealed weapon is going to help you in a situation like the preacher described?

And if you shoot them after, when they are fleeing in your car, pretty confident the N.O. DA will prosecute you. (Not sayin it should happen that way, just stating current official N.O. approach.)

Again, this is not meant to dis guns or carrying them. Just to say that they are no where near a fail safe NO crime preventative measure.

One fail safe approach: Not attending functions or events in a city that refuses to protect taxpayers and whose officials may prosecute you if you try to do so yourself.
