what does beating covid look like?"
He said it is when 100% of New Orleans residents become vaccinated

I wish the city approached violent crime safety with half as much vigor as they approach covid safety.

I know I wont get any honest replies but lets try...

Some friends were in town, so we went to a restaurant near the warehouse district. I wasn't too keen on it, but the friends made the reservations and were really excited to eat there.
Big sign on the door "Masks Required for Entry"
I walk past tables full of maskless people talking to each other.
I walk past the bar, where the stools are high enough that the mask-free people sitting there are eye level with me while I'm walking.
The waitress comes to our table, immediately pulls her mask down to talk to us.
And I'm thinking "how does any of this makes sense?"

Might want to set up vax centers at the polls and churches then.

We’re not far from cities killing every animal within the city limits.

Good. Let them “save” themselves into total ruin.

So one day he was at Schwegmanns and he saw a Saints fan put his actual tickets on the board for someone to take, I believe the story was from when the team was really bad. So, a few days later he goes to the same store and the next thing you know it was full of Saints tickets that no one wanted and no one was taking.
Another version of that joke is...
Guy goes to the grocery store and decides to give his two tickets away by placing them under his windshield wiper with a note saying, two tickets - free to whomever.
He gets back to his car after "making groceries' to find four tickets under his windshield wipers.

Remember when you were all aboard the ‘just get vaccinated and this will all go away’ train?

We need to start being honest.
Teedy and her peeps believe it is on them to stop COVID spread.
They prefer you get vaccinated.
But the poor people in NOLA don't trust the vax, so they won't get it.
The poor people also want Teedy to stop COVID, because poor, fat, and black are not good if you catch COVID.
So Teedy "does something" by putting in restrictions.
But... the restrictions she is putting in have no impact on the poor in the city... because... hear me out... the poor aren't going to Jazz Fest, Saints games, Red Dress Run, etc.
So the poor can say "YAS MY QUEEN IS HELPING ME" when in reality her "restrictions" ain't doing anything to stop the spread in the poor communities... because... the poor communities aren't impacted by the restrictions.
Teedy is happy to pander to her voters, and her voters are too dumb to realize that Teedy's restrictions ain't helping them one bit.
