Back in the 90’s, just as you crested the high rise heading east, there was a liquor billboard that said “Clearly Canadian.” Spot on.

A little further down the road, the locals would sometimes push shopping carts into the roadway. What fun!

And there is no Haynes Blvd. in NO East. That’s how you can tell the tourists from the locals.

New Orleans East was the crown jewel of New Orleans in the 70s and then then then it was overrun by terrorists

Same here. Lake Castle and Kenilworth. It wasn't bad being a kid in the east about 30 years ago.

Clearly Canadian is a flavored water.

Damn, so many former LC Jets on the TD. We should all get together and diagram some sentences.

I started elementary school in NO East in 1991 and our student body was comprised of 33% black, white, and Vietnamese. Leaving the same school in 1999, the school was 84% black, 15% Vietnamese, and 1% white, the white kids being children of some of the faculty. White flight has decimated the East. Come back to the East, White people.

Damn, this whole time I’ve been looking for up and coming neighborhoods all over the city and I’ve been missing the East.

Yeah. The old cliche around here about doing strippers and blow when you have money to burn? My buddy walked the walk at Visions.

How he never caught something there, I'll never know.
