Or are you just saying black people aren't smart because that wouldn't surprise me if you believe that either

It is all your fault. If the kid had better genetics then he could run a 4.3 or dunk a basketball. Full ride.

Imagine having to move to Texas just to find a job

Irony... look it up.

Kid has a 4.28 weighted GPA loaded up with Honors and AP classes, killed on his ACT and SAT (not perfect, but damned close), and LSU has only offered about $3500/year in non-TOPS scholarship $$$. Even with out of state tuition, it would be cheaper for him to go to out of state schools that have offered much better scholarships.
This is beyond typical. The hypocritical part of this is that they will offer WAY more money to get an out of state student to come to LSU with a worse resume. Their metrics are completely backwards. They're offering tons of money to out of state students while turning their noses up at in-state kids completely.
Just about every aspect of LSU's management from top to bottom, side to side, is 100% moronic.

No shite. At least go somewhere somewhat nice if you move for work.

My schtick is varied. I can make any thread go at least 10 pages. His is only about property tax, energy deregulation, and Louisiana kids moving to Texas.

I had over a 4.0 GPA, 15 hours of college credit, and was in the 98th percentile nationally on the ACT, got a thousand bucks a semester.
You’ve got to be one of the most punchable posters. I just want to punch you every time I read your bullshite posts.

Apply at Alabama. They will throw money at you.

That MAY, again may, cover the fees for spring and fall semester.
I don’t think it will. I haven’t seen a billing statement from LSU in over 8 years now but I believe it costs more than $1,750 for fees, books, and if you live on campus I know for a fact that doesn’t cover room and board or food because that didn’t come close over a decade ago.

Every word of that is true. I shared that I had a similar experience as the OP as other posters did. Sorry that hurts your feelings

Yeah I think we're saying pretty much the same thing. That 1750 may cover the technology fee and all that shite, and if it does that's all it's going to cover. You're still going to be out 5k+ a semester for books, meals, and housing

Not from Louisiana unless you’re from Nola.

I know I’m going to sound very elitist but college should be for the best and the brightest, like the op’s kid, not for everyone. That’s just my $.02 though

You’re a try hard loser that constantly has to one up people with your bullshite.

I think having the most educated society you can is really important, but theres no doubt we need a huge amount of change.
Having educated, not job trained, people is important, but when it's funded entirely by government backed debt and graduation rates are less than half there's something that has to change

I was replying to the OP, you came in later and took offense to it. How would I know you were going to do that?
Also, how could I possibly one up the OP's kid when they had better credentials than me, it's quite literally impossible
