No AC, no bathrooms: Baton Rouge Metro Airport hit by utility outage

UWK has learned the issue has been ongoing since at least 10 a.m. on Friday, June 20. However, viewers flying out earlier that morning reported everything was working as of 5 a.m.
Sources tell UWK a water line at the airport may have been struck, causing the disruption.
Porta potties have been set up downstairs, as none of the airport’s restrooms are currently operational. Both travelers and staff are relying on them.
Due to the lack of air conditioning, ice chests filled with bottled water have been placed throughout the airport, people inside the airport have told UWK. However, many passengers are hesitant to drink the water because of the restroom situation. Staff members are also working to set up box fans throughout the building, but the gate areas have had little to no access to cooling since the AC went out.
UWK has reached out to airport officials for more information and an estimated timeline for repairs. As of publication, no one has returned our calls.

Sometimes I have to pee so bad when I get off the plane, I don't think I could make the porta johns. Isn't Louisiana a third world country?

There were no functioning toilets or water at the international terminal at Heathrow a few years ago. If you didn't piss before you got off the plane, you were out of luck. 2+ hours in passport control, kids wetting themselves in line. Ah, the good old days.

I know exactly what the water line is. It was struck during the 1998 renovation when demoing a 24” storm drain line in the way of the current drill shafts for the rotunda
If that line was broken you would have no make up water to the cooling towers on the north side of the plant. No cooling towers no HVAC
