Would they buy a shoe with his logo, or just buy another Nike product?

No clue. Speaking personally, I wouldn’t buy a Kaepernick shoe, but that’s bc my target is running shoes and soccer and golf cleats. I still purchase a lot of Nike though.

America is lost, we are bowing to kneelers. It's what we are in 2019.

It's amazing the money to made with a work force paid $0.20 per hour. What an awesome business plan.

Maybe not. You read the market reports and you figure out what marketing works best. The black lives matter crowd is a HUGE market for these shoes.

Doesn't believe you personally believe the message. You just know what your target market personally believes.

Nike marketing wanted to make "BLACK LIVES MATTER" their marketing campaign a couple of years ago but settled for "EQUALITY." instead when they went for final signoff and some of the EVPs and CEO objected.

They don't have "radicals running their marketing". Why do people need to believe shite like this?

Multinational, FOR PROFIT corporations DO NOT have a social conscience. But they do have extremely savvy marketing and business specialists who have an expert sense of social/cultural trends that determine who will buy their product.

None of this SJW shite is done out of principle. None, not one fricking bit.

I don’t think it has much to do with the kaepernick thing at all, mostly coincidence. Nike has been on a steep upward trend since 2009. I’m a shareholder.

Bunch of drama queens in this thread.

If anyone bitching in this thread was offered Nike stock right now, I guarantee you they wouldn't turn it down.

It's easy to see this as an indictment of America in 2019, if you don't see it, you are likely part of the problem.

Both of them are glad no one made a ridiculous offer that couldn’t be turned down. Him getting back into league now would end up like it ended right when shoes actually released. They need myth more than reality.

Not to mention stocks in general are up even more so if this period began during one the drops in fall of 2018. I know Nike’s stock in 2018 actually peaked before fall drops I think, but my phone is not letting me pick a specific spot on graph to get price and date today on site I usually use to quickly check stuff like this. One reason why a focus n January about Nike stock rising was so odd was entire stock market was rebounding & correcting from the large December drop resulting a lot from the FED announcements more than performance which also made the ones in fall seem small.

Stock is probably still up but current increase still has much to do with market in general. People buy Nike, and Nike is a marketing machine allowing for high prices with cheap labor. Its also taken advantage of people with less money using marketing & athletes to make them think their sometimes highly over priced product is a need. It’s more that Nike opened the door for some to look elsewhere, and they may continue when current marketing runs its course.

Kap is the drama queen. He’s so butt hurt over a NON issue that he kneels down whenever he hears that anthem for the country that allowed him the opportunity to be free to make millions playing a sport.

He literally is being dramatic.

There is no systemic police brutality against blacks. There is no unified effort by the united states to enslave blacks. There is no effort underway by our government to keep blacks down (except by the democrat party with handouts). Yet Kap chooses to protest the boogeyman.

And nike embraces that
