Boycotts are stupid as hell, but Kap hardly impacts Nike one way or another.

What is the % increase of NKE vs the % increase of the overall SP500? That should give you the real story rather than a sensational headline insinuating $26.2 billion for NKE is an outlier to the market.

And boycotts don't work and are stupid.

I tried to tell folks companies like nike spend untold millions on market research and that everything about this Kaepernick fricker was and is exactly what Nike's target audience wants.

They don't give one single shite about the middle aged white male who thinks standing for the pledge at an entertainment event fricking matters.

Nike hitched their wagon to Kaepernick (and rightly so) because he sells slave labor shoes and nothing more. There are no principles in all this.

How much of that $26.2B is contributed to Kaepernick and how much of it is attributed to other things?

Can't wait to watch Kap demand more money from Nike, get rejected, then accuse Nike of treating him like a slave. You know it's coming.

I would say a majority of the market cap increase of Nike is attributable to overall economy, not one specific thing.

This is why ESPN turned all of their programs into yo yo yo rap fests several years ago.

Another favorite retard talking point is that Nike's demographic is poor black people.

Nike's target demo is anyone with a pulse. Again, they are the largest and most successful clothing brand ever. How dumb does someone have to be to believe their target demo has low purchasing power?

This has jackshit to do with party affiliation. This is just good business. If the 40 to 70 year old white male was the target market. This discussion doesn't happen.

he thinks black people are dumb for buying sneakers but probably has a $500 cooler that is marginally better than one he could've gotten for $60 because he needs to keep his miller lite™ freezing cold

it's all very big brained shite you see

I'm not sure it matters.

The point is that with Kaepernick around, business got better. Nike did their market research and gave it's target market what it wanted.

That's just good business.

A rising tide lifts all boats.

Nike’s valuation has little to nothing to do with CK.

He's not really the only reason their stocks or even sales went up.

I mean the US women just went ham on sales. NFL sales that have nothing to do with cap have been on the rise.

The article even states they don't have the numbers from his icon jersey or how many of is shoes will be released.

I didn't say that. I said the common denominator in the demographic was trashy.

Color, as always, is not a predictor of trash.

No, it doesn’t. Nike didn’t stop making decisions or deals once they signed Kap.

Much of their growth has occurred since outing Michael Avennati as an extortionist. Does that give you the real story?
