My god. Could they use any more click bait over exaggerations? Welcome to the buzzfeed generation.

So you came from a dimension where Australia doesn't exist (you're the first one I've met), and I come from a dimension where Suriname never existed. There are others who also come from a Suriname-less Earth but we seem to be a small minority so far. I think most people just aren't aware yet. The next time Suriname is in the news for a natural disaster or something I think a lot of people will be shocked and it will reignite all the Mandela Effect talk

I vividly remember New Zealand West of Australia

If you Google "island west of Australia" there are a number of mentions of it. One explanation is that typically that is where the logo for the manufacturer would go, or possibly the legend. It could also be a error by the manufacturer.

I also saw some links that say Google maps has an island there, but I couldn't find anything when I looked. But there were even people that went searching for the island and didn't find anything.

As far as you thinking that was New Zealand, I think you are just mixing things up. I haven't seen a globe in a long time though.

That definitely could be the mix up. There was an island West, and I took it as NZ for as far back as I can remember. But others remember it being either closer to Australia or Northeast of Australia altogether.

The entire scenario is weird.

Maybe so, but think about this: have you ever met anyone from New Zealand?
No, you haven’t.
Nor have I.
Nor has anyone I’ve ever asked.

Are we even sure that New Zealand really exists?

That’s why I always use the Mercator projection when sending dick pics.

Half As Interesting (YouTube) video about that island.

But it’s a small little thing. Don’t see how any of these fools could confuse it for New Zealand. Maybe they’re thinking of Madagascar? It is west of Australia, but like way west.

What’s that giant mass to the left of Australia? And I don’t mean Africa.

PFT has me woke on this. New Zealand is actually in Chile. All of the pilots are in on the cover up.

Also, who the frick ever heard of a country in South America called Suriname until the last few years?

It's been a country since 1975... and it's next to French Guiana, which is home to the European Space Agency.

Yes, the European Space Agency is in South America.
