Although behind most of the US, my Alabama edu taught me where NZ was and always has been as well as Suriname, not to mention the other 2 South America forgottens Guyana and French Guiana.

There's no conspiracy here with NZ.

Looks like a giant scuff mark to me. Perhaps, like other said, the logo was there. It was probably peeled off.

If you look closely, you can see it has no terrain markings like other land masses.

Weird. Some months ago I experienced the same thing. New Zealand has ALWAYS been to the Northeast of Australia in my memory.

Then...it just wasn't. I've recognized it as being southeast, but it's like the Mandela effect or something. Where did our understanding of NZ being to the northeast come from? I've seen Dazed and Confused, but not that much or in a while. Just odd...
